烏鴉雛鳥因缺乏食物飛來飛去，向神哀求的時候，誰為烏鴉預備食物呢？”

兩隻麻雀不是賣一個大錢嗎？但你們的父若不許可，一隻也不會掉在地上。甚至你們的頭髮都一一數過了。所以不要怕，你們比許多麻雀貴重得多呢。

萬人的眼睛都仰望你，你按時把糧食賜給他們。你把手張開，使所有生物都隨願得到飽足。

你們想想烏鴉：牠們不種也不收，無倉又無庫，神尚且養活牠們；你們比飛鳥貴重得多了。你們中間誰能用憂慮使自己的壽命延長一刻呢？既然連這極小的事都不能作，為甚麼還憂慮其他的事呢？你們想想百合花，怎樣不勞苦，也不紡織。但我告訴你們，就是所羅門最榮華的時候所穿的，也比不上這花中的一朵呢。小信的人哪，田野的草，今天還在，明天就投進爐裡，神尚且這樣給它裝飾，何況你們呢？你們不要求吃甚麼，喝甚麼，也不要憂慮，因為這一切都是世上不信的人所尋求的。你們的父原知道你們需要這一切。你們只管求他的國，這些東西都必加給你們。你們這小群，不要怕，因為你們的父樂意把國賜給你們。

這些活物都仰望你，仰望你按時賜給牠們食物。你賜給牠們，牠們就拾取；你張開你的手，牠們就飽享美物。

五隻麻雀，不是賣兩個大錢嗎？但在神面前，一隻也不被忘記。甚至你們的頭髮都一一數過了。不要怕，你們比許多麻雀貴重得多呢。

你們中間哪一個人，兒子向他要餅，反給他石頭；

他教導我們過於教導地上的走獸，使我們有智慧勝於空中的飛鳥。’

神說：“看哪！我把全地上結種子的各樣蔬菜，和一切果樹上有種子的果子，都賜給你們作食物。至於地上的各種野獸，空中的各種飛鳥，和地上爬行有生命的各種活物，我把一切青草蔬菜賜給牠們作食物。”事就這樣成了。神看他所造的一切都很好。有晚上，有早晨；這是第六日。

使野地所有的走獸有水喝，野驢得以解渴。天上的飛鳥在水邊住宿，在樹枝上鳴叫。

這些都是教外人所尋求的，你們的天父原知道你們需要這一切。
