祂賜食物給走獸，餵養嗷嗷待哺的小烏鴉。

烏鴉的幼雛餓得飛來飛去，向上帝哀鳴時，誰供應烏鴉食物？

兩隻麻雀不是只賣一個銅錢嗎？然而沒有天父的許可，一隻也不會掉在地上。就連你們的頭髮都被數過了。所以不要害怕，你們比許多麻雀更貴重！

世人都仰賴你，你按時賜給他們所需的食物。你慷慨滿足一切生命的需要。

你們看，烏鴉不種也不收，沒倉也沒庫，上帝尚且養活牠們，你們比飛鳥不知要貴重多少！「你們誰能用憂慮使自己多活片刻呢？既然你們連這樣的小事都無能為力，又何必為其餘的事憂慮呢？看看百合花如何生長吧，它們既不勞苦，也不紡織，但我告訴你們，就連所羅門王最顯赫時的穿戴還不如一朵百合花！「野地的草今天還在，明天就要被丟在爐中，上帝還這樣裝扮它們，何況你們呢？你們的信心太小了！你們不要為吃什麼喝什麼憂慮，因為這些都是外族人的追求，你們的天父知道你們需要這些。你們要尋求祂的國，祂必供給你們的需要。「你們這一小群人啊，不要怕！因為你們的天父樂意把祂的國賜給你們。

牠們都倚靠你按時供應食物。牠們從你那裡得到供應，你伸手賜下美食，使牠們飽足。

「五隻麻雀不是只賣兩個銅錢嗎？但上帝連一隻麻雀也不會遺忘。其實就連你們的頭髮都被數過了。不要害怕，你們比許多麻雀要貴重！

「你們做父親的，誰會在兒子要餅時給他石頭，

使我們比地上的走獸聰明，比天上的飛鳥有智慧。』

上帝對人說：「看啊，我把地上所有結種子的菜蔬和所有樹上有籽的果子都賜給你們作食物。我把植物賜給所有地上的走獸、空中的飛鳥及地上的爬蟲作食物。」果然如此。上帝看了，感到非常滿意。晚上過去，早晨到來，這是第六天。

讓野地的動物有水喝，野驢可以解渴。飛鳥也在溪旁棲息，在樹梢上歌唱。

因為這些都是外族人的追求，你們的天父知道你們的需要。
