“ Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink, or about your body, what you will wear. Isn’t there more to life than food and more to the body than clothing?

故我語汝、勿慮生何以食、何以飲、身何以衣、夫生非大於食、身非大於衣乎、

我語汝、勿慮生何以食、何以飲、身何以衣、生非大於糧、身不大於衣乎、

故我告爾、勿為生命憂慮何以食、何以飲、勿為身體憂慮何以衣、生命不重於糧乎、身體不重於衣乎、

故吾語爾、毋庸岌岌於何食何飲以養生、何衣以蔽體。夫生不貴於食、體不貴於衣乎？

“ That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life— whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing?

“ Therefore I tell you: Don’t worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food and the body more than clothing?

“ For this reason I say to you, do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is life not more than food, and the body more than clothing?

Therefore I say unto you, Be not anxious for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than the food, and the body than the raiment?

“ This is why I tell you: Don’t worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food and the body more than clothing?

Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

Therefore I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing?

Do not be anxious about anything. Instead, in every situation, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, tell your requests to God.

by casting all your cares on him because he cares for you.

So then, don’t worry saying,‘ What will we eat?’ or‘ What will we drink?’ or‘ What will we wear?’

And which of you by worrying can add even one hour to his life?Why do you worry about clothing? Think about how the flowers of the field grow; they do not work or spin.

Indeed, he who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all– how will he not also, along with him, freely give us all things?

Throw your burden upon the LORD, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the godly to be upended.

Whenever they hand you over for trial, do not worry about how to speak or what to say, for what you should say will be given to you at that time.

Then Jesus said to his disciples,“ Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat, or about your body, what you will wear.For there is more to life than food, and more to the body than clothing.Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn, yet God feeds them. How much more valuable are you than the birds!And which of you by worrying can add an hour to his life?So if you cannot do such a very little thing as this, why do you worry about the rest?Consider how the flowers grow; they do not work or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his glory was clothed like one of these!And if this is how God clothes the wild grass, which is here today and tomorrow is tossed into the fire to heat the oven, how much more will he clothe you, you people of little faith!So do not be overly concerned about what you will eat and what you will drink, and do not worry about such things.For all the nations of the world pursue these things, and your Father knows that you need them.Instead, pursue his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well.

So then, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Today has enough trouble of its own.

And I want you to be free from concern. An unmarried man is concerned about the things of the Lord, how to please the Lord.

but worldly cares, the seductiveness of wealth, and the desire for other things come in and choke the word, and it produces nothing.

As for the seed that fell among thorns, these are the ones who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by the worries and riches and pleasures of life, and their fruit does not mature.

No one in military service gets entangled in matters of everyday life; otherwise he will not please the one who recruited him.

The seed sown among thorns is the person who hears the word, but worldly cares and the seductiveness of wealth choke the word, so it produces nothing.

“ I tell you, whoever acknowledges me before men, the Son of Man will also acknowledge before God’s angels.But the one who denies me before men will be denied before God’s angels.

But Martha was distracted with all the preparations she had to make, so she came up to him and said,“ Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do all the work alone? Tell her to help me.”But the Lord answered her,“ Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things,

Your conduct must be free from the love of money and you must be content with what you have, for he has said,“ I will never leave you and I will never abandon you.”So we can say with confidence,“ The Lord is my helper, and I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?”

When they arrest you and hand you over for trial, do not worry about what to speak. But say whatever is given you at that time, for it is not you speaking, but the Holy Spirit.

But when they bring you before the synagogues, the rulers, and the authorities, do not worry about how you should make your defense or what you should say,

“ I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body, and after that have nothing more they can do.But I will warn you whom you should fear: Fear the one who, after the killing, has authority to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him!

But I say to you that anyone who is angry with a brother will be subjected to judgment. And whoever insults a brother will be brought before the council, and whoever says‘ Fool’ will be sent to fiery hell.So then, if you bring your gift to the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you,leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to your brother and then come and present your gift.Reach agreement quickly with your accuser while on the way to court, or he may hand you over to the judge, and the judge hand you over to the warden, and you will be thrown into prison.I tell you the truth, you will never get out of there until you have paid the last penny!“ You have heard that it was said,‘ Do not commit adultery.’But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to desire her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
