故此我告訴你們，不要為你們的性命來掛慮、要喫甚麼、或喝甚麼；也不要為你們的身體來掛慮、要穿甚麼。性命不是勝於食物，而身體勝於服裝麼？

「所以我告訴你們：不要為你們的生命而憂慮吃什麼、喝什麼；也不要為你們的身體而憂慮穿什麼；難道生命不比食物更重要，身體不比衣服更重要嗎？

故我語汝、勿慮生何以食、何以飲、身何以衣、夫生非大於食、身非大於衣乎、

我語汝、勿慮生何以食、何以飲、身何以衣、生非大於糧、身不大於衣乎、

故我告爾、勿為生命憂慮何以食、何以飲、勿為身體憂慮何以衣、生命不重於糧乎、身體不重於衣乎、

故吾語爾、毋庸岌岌於何食何飲以養生、何衣以蔽體。夫生不貴於食、體不貴於衣乎？

“ Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?

“ That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life— whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing?

“ For this reason I say to you, do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is life not more than food, and the body more than clothing?

“ Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?

Therefore I say unto you, Be not anxious for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than the food, and the body than the raiment?

“ This is why I tell you: Don’t worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food and the body more than clothing?

Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

“ Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink, or about your body, what you will wear. Isn’t there more to life than food and more to the body than clothing?

Therefore I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing?

Don’t worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

casting all your cares on him, because he cares about you.

So don’t worry, saying,‘ What will we eat?’ or‘ What will we drink?’ or‘ What will we wear?’

Can any of you add one moment to his life span by worrying?And why do you worry about clothes? Observe how the wildflowers of the field grow: They don’t labor or spin thread.

He did not even spare his own Son but gave him up for us all. How will he not also with him grant us everything?

Cast your burden on the LORD, and he will sustain you; he will never allow the righteous to be shaken.

But when they hand you over, don’t worry about how or what you are to speak. For you will be given what to say at that hour,

Then he said to his disciples,“ Therefore I tell you, don’t worry about your life, what you will eat; or about the body, what you will wear.For life is more than food and the body more than clothing.Consider the ravens: They don’t sow or reap; they don’t have a storeroom or a barn; yet God feeds them. Aren’t you worth much more than the birds?Can any of you add one moment to his life span by worrying?If then you’re not able to do even a little thing, why worry about the rest?“ Consider how the wildflowers grow: They don’t labor or spin thread. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was adorned like one of these.If that’s how God clothes the grass, which is in the field today and is thrown into the furnace tomorrow, how much more will he do for you— you of little faith?Don’t strive for what you should eat and what you should drink, and don’t be anxious.For the Gentile world eagerly seeks all these things, and your Father knows that you need them.“ But seek his kingdom, and these things will be provided for you.

Therefore don’t worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

I want you to be without concerns. The unmarried man is concerned about the things of the Lord— how he may please the Lord.

but the worries of this age, the deceitfulness of wealth, and the desires for other things enter in and choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.

As for the seed that fell among thorns, these are the ones who, when they have heard, go on their way and are choked with worries, riches, and pleasures of life, and produce no mature fruit.

No one serving as a soldier gets entangled in the concerns of civilian life; he seeks to please the commanding officer.

Now the one sown among the thorns— this is one who hears the word, but the worries of this age and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.

“ And I say to you, anyone who acknowledges me before others, the Son of Man will also acknowledge him before the angels of God,but whoever denies me before others will be denied before the angels of God.

But Martha was distracted by her many tasks, and she came up and asked,“ Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to serve alone? So tell her to give me a hand.”The Lord answered her,“ Martha, Martha, you are worried and upset about many things,

Keep your life free from the love of money. Be satisfied with what you have, for he himself has said, I will never leave you or abandon you.Therefore, we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?

So when they arrest you and hand you over, don’t worry beforehand what you will say, but say whatever is given to you at that time, for it isn’t you speaking, but the Holy Spirit.

Whenever they bring you before synagogues and rulers and authorities, don’t worry about how you should defend yourselves or what you should say.

“ I say to you, my friends, don’t fear those who kill the body, and after that can do nothing more.But I will show you the one to fear: Fear him who has authority to throw people into hell after death. Yes, I say to you, this is the one to fear!

But I tell you, everyone who is angry with his brother or sister will be subject to judgment. Whoever insults his brother or sister, will be subject to the court. Whoever says,‘ You fool!’ will be subject to hellfire.So if you are offering your gift on the altar, and there you remember that your brother or sister has something against you,leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled with your brother or sister, and then come and offer your gift.Reach a settlement quickly with your adversary while you’re on the way with him to the court, or your adversary will hand you over to the judge, and the judge to the officer, and you will be thrown into prison.Truly I tell you, you will never get out of there until you have paid the last penny.“ You have heard that it was said, Do not commit adultery.But I tell you, everyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
