“不可为自己在地上积聚财宝，因为地上有虫蛀，有锈侵蚀，也有贼挖洞来偷。

“你们不要为自己在地上积蓄财宝，地上有虫蛀，会锈蚀，也有盗贼钻进来偷窃；

「不要為自己積攢財寶在地上；地上有蟲子咬，能銹壞，也有賊挖窟窿來偷。

『別為自己積儹財寶在地上了；地上有蟲子和鏽能弄壞，地上有賊能挖窟窿來偷。

「你們不要為自己在地上積蓄財寶，地上有蟲蛀，會鏽蝕，也有盜賊鑽進來偷竊；

勿積財於地、其處蠹蝕銹壞、盜穴而竊之、

勿積財於地、彼有蠹蝕朽壞、有盜穿窬而竊、

爾毋儲富於地；蠹蝕焉、銹敗焉、竊者穿窬而盜焉。

務絕貪婪、以己所有為足、上帝曰、吾不須臾遐棄爾、

凡積財於己、而上帝前不富有者、亦如是、○

富者當思將來之苦而號泣、財自傷、衣自蠹、金銀黯敗、其黯為證、若火之燃、災及其身、蓋爾所積、必見鞫於末日、

毋圖富有、靡恃己長。毋注目浮榮、蓋貨財之去、速如鷹飛、鼓翼而沖天。

衣食足、當知止、苟圖富有、陷誘惑、罹羅網、溺於無理有害之欲、終必沉淪、好利為萬惡根、有人慕之、則背於道、以多苦自刺、

當諭此世之富者、心勿傲、無定之財勿恃、惟賴永生上帝、洪賜我眾、百物以享之、

耶穌聞其言曰、猶虧一、悉售所有以濟貧、則必有財於天、且來從我矣、

獲智慧、愈於得金銀。

售所有以施濟、備常新之囊、天上不盡之財、盜不至、蠹不壞之處、

我耶和華震怒之日、彼有金銀、不得贖其生命、我怒憤烈、必毀斯土、所居之民、必猝然殄絶之焉。

以金為寶者、金不足以滿其心、惟貨是好者、貨不足以充其欲、此亦屬於虛而已。財充則用繁、有財何裨。勞者食無餘、每見其安寢、富者因多財、恆不遑假寐。曠觀天下之人、深可憫惜、積貯貨財、自取其害、既遭患難、貨財俱失、雖有子孫、無業可遺。

降禍之日、貨財亦復何裨、臨死之時、仁義足以自救。

耶穌見其憂甚、曰、有財者、入上帝國、難矣哉、

爾即財貨豐饒、勿以為樂、況虐人奪人、更不可以此浮財自恃、

各人所為、無非捉影、諠譟徒勞兮、積累財貨、不知孰得兮。

耶穌曰、爾欲盡善、往售所有以濟貧、則必有財於天、且來從我、

我不以金為寶、亦不以兼金為可恃。

上帝所悅者、賜以智慧歡樂、若惡人則勞苦之、以其所積貨財、賜於善良、凡百之事、無非捕風捉影、以此益見矣。
