『別為自己積儹財寶在地上了；地上有蟲子和鏽能弄壞，地上有賊能挖窟窿來偷。

「你們不要為自己在地上積蓄財寶，地上有蟲蛀，會鏽蝕，也有盜賊鑽進來偷竊；

勿積財於地、其處蠹蝕銹壞、盜穴而竊之、

勿積財於地蠹食銹壞、盜穴而竊之處、

勿積財於地、彼有蠹蝕朽壞、有盜穿窬而竊、

爾毋儲富於地；蠹蝕焉、銹敗焉、竊者穿窬而盜焉。

“ Don’t lay up treasures for yourselves on the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal;

不可贪爱钱财，要以自己所有的为满足，因为神曾说：“我绝不撇下你，也绝不丢弃你。”

凡为自己积财，在神面前却不富足的，也是这样。”

注意！你们这些富足人哪，要为将要临到你们身上的灾难哭泣、号啕。你们的财物腐烂了，你们的衣服被虫子蛀了。你们的金银都生锈了；这锈要证明你们的不是，又要像火一样吞吃你们的肉。你们在这末世只知道积蓄钱财。

不要劳碌求富，要有聪明来节制。你定睛在财富，它就消失，因为它必长翅膀，如鹰向天飞去。

只要有衣有食，我们就该知足。但那些想要发财的人就陷在诱惑、罗网和许多无知有害的欲望中，使人沉沦，以致败坏和灭亡。贪财是万恶之根。有人因贪恋钱财而背离信仰，用许多愁苦把自己刺透了。

至于那些今世富足的人，你要嘱咐他们不要自高，也不要倚赖靠不住的钱财；要倚靠那厚赐万物给我们享受的神。

耶稣听见了，就对他说：“你还缺少一件：要变卖你一切所有的，分给穷人，就必有财宝在天上；你还要来跟从我。”

得智慧胜过得金子，选聪明强如选银子。

你们要变卖财产周济人，为自己预备永不坏的钱囊和用不尽的财宝在天上，就是贼不能近，虫不能蛀的地方。

当耶和华发怒的日子，他们的金银不能救自己；耶和华妒忌的火必烧灭全地，要向地上所有的居民施行可怕的毁灭。

喜爱银子的，不因得银子满足；喜爱财富的，也不因得利益知足。这也是虚空。货物增添，吃的人也增添，物主得什么益处呢？不过眼看而已！劳碌的人不拘吃多吃少，睡得香甜；富人的丰足却不容他睡觉。我见日光之下有一件令人忧伤的祸患，就是财主积存财富，反害自己。他因遭遇不幸，财产尽失；他生了儿子，手里却一无所有。

遭怒的日子钱财无益；惟有公义能救人脱离死亡。

耶稣见他变得很忧愁，就说：“有钱财的人进神的国是何等的难哪！

不要仗势欺人，也不要因抢夺而骄傲；若财宝加增，不要放在心上。

世人行动实系幻影，他们忙乱，真是枉然，积蓄财宝，不知将来有谁收取。

耶稣说：“你若愿意作完全人，去变卖你所拥有的，分给穷人，就必有财宝在天上；然后来跟从我。”

“我若以黄金为我的指望，对纯金说：你是我的倚靠；

神喜爱谁，就给谁智慧、知识和喜乐；惟有罪人，神使他劳苦，将他所储藏、所堆积的归给神所喜爱的人。这也是虚空，也是捕风。
