“你们不要为自己在地上积蓄财宝，地上有虫蛀，会锈蚀，也有盗贼钻进来偷窃；

『別為自己積儹財寶在地上了；地上有蟲子和鏽能弄壞，地上有賊能挖窟窿來偷。

「你們不要為自己在地上積蓄財寶，地上有蟲蛀，會鏽蝕，也有盜賊鑽進來偷竊；

勿積財於地、其處蠹蝕銹壞、盜穴而竊之、

勿積財於地蠹食銹壞、盜穴而竊之處、

勿積財於地、彼有蠹蝕朽壞、有盜穿窬而竊、

爾毋儲富於地；蠹蝕焉、銹敗焉、竊者穿窬而盜焉。

你們存心不可貪愛錢財，要以自己所有的為足；因為主曾說：「我總不撇下你，也不丟棄你。」

凡為自己積財，在神面前卻不富足的，也是這樣。」

嗐！你們這些富足人哪，應當哭泣、號咷，因為將有苦難臨到你們身上。你們的財物壞了，衣服也被蟲子咬了。你們的金銀都長了銹；那銹要證明你們的不是，又要吃你們的肉，如同火燒。你們在這末世只知積攢錢財。

不要勞碌求富，休仗自己的聰明。你豈要定睛在虛無的錢財上嗎？因錢財必長翅膀，如鷹向天飛去。

只要有衣有食，就當知足。但那些想要發財的人，就陷在迷惑、落在網羅和許多無知有害的私慾裏，叫人沉在敗壞和滅亡中。貪財是萬惡之根。有人貪戀錢財，就被引誘離了真道，用許多愁苦把自己刺透了。

你要囑咐那些今世富足的人，不要自高，也不要倚靠無定的錢財；只要倚靠那厚賜百物給我們享受的神。

耶穌聽見了，就說：「你還缺少一件：要變賣你一切所有的，分給窮人，就必有財寶在天上；你還要來跟從我。」

得智慧勝似得金子；選聰明強如選銀子。

你們要變賣所有的賙濟人，為自己預備永不壞的錢囊，用不盡的財寶在天上，就是賊不能近、蟲不能蛀的地方。

當耶和華發怒的日子，他們的金銀不能救他們；他的忿怒如火必燒滅全地，毀滅這地的一切居民，而且大大毀滅。

貪愛銀子的，不因得銀子知足；貪愛豐富的，也不因得利益知足。這也是虛空。貨物增添，吃的人也增添，物主得甚麼益處呢？不過眼看而已！勞碌的人不拘吃多吃少，睡得香甜；富足人的豐滿卻不容他睡覺。我見日光之下有一宗大禍患，就是財主積存資財，反害自己。因遭遇禍患，這些資財就消滅；那人若生了兒子，手裏也一無所有。

發怒的日子資財無益；惟有公義能救人脫離死亡。

耶穌看見他，就說：「有錢財的人進神的國是何等的難哪！

不要仗勢欺人，也不要因搶奪而驕傲；若財寶加增，不要放在心上。

世人行動實係幻影。他們忙亂，真是枉然；積蓄財寶，不知將來有誰收取。

耶穌說：「你若願意作完全人，可去變賣你所有的，分給窮人，就必有財寶在天上；你還要來跟從我。」

我若以黃金為指望，對精金說：你是我的倚靠；

神喜悅誰，就給誰智慧、知識，和喜樂；惟有罪人，神使他勞苦，叫他將所收聚的、所堆積的歸給神所喜悅的人。這也是虛空，也是捕風。
