I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one.

For God is the King of all the earth; Sing praises with understanding.

Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat.But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren.”But he said to Him,“ Lord, I am ready to go with You, both to prison and to death.”Then He said,“ I tell you, Peter, the rooster shall not crow this day before you will deny three times that you know Me.”And He said to them,“ When I sent you without money bag, knapsack, and sandals, did you lack anything?” So they said,“ Nothing.”Then He said to them,“ But now, he who has a money bag, let him take it, and likewise a knapsack; and he who has no sword, let him sell his garment and buy one.For I say to you that this which is written must still be accomplished in Me:‘ And He was numbered with the transgressors.’ For the things concerning Me have an end.”So they said,“ Lord, look, here are two swords.” And He said to them,“ It is enough.”Coming out, He went to the Mount of Olives, as He was accustomed, and His disciples also followed Him.When He came to the place, He said to them,“ Pray that you may not enter into temptation.”And He was withdrawn from them about a stone’s throw, and He knelt down and prayed,saying,“ Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.”Then an angel appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him.And being in agony, He prayed more earnestly. Then His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground.When He rose up from prayer, and had come to His disciples, He found them sleeping from sorrow.Then He said to them,“ Why do you sleep? Rise and pray, lest you enter into temptation.”

The Lord is King forever and ever; The nations have perished out of His land.

and to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, even Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come.

He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.

who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father,

Yours, O Lord, is the greatness, The power and the glory, The victory and the majesty; For all that is in heaven and in earth is Yours; Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, And You are exalted as head over all.

And you shall remember that the Lord your God led you all the way these forty years in the wilderness, to humble you and test you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep His commandments or not.

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

Remove falsehood and lies far from me; Give me neither poverty nor riches— Feed me with the food allotted to me;

who fed you in the wilderness with manna, which your fathers did not know, that He might humble you and that He might test you, to do you good in the end—

teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.

And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure.Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me.And He said to me,“ My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

But the saints of the Most High shall receive the kingdom, and possess the kingdom forever, even forever and ever.’

No one can restrain His hand Or say to Him,“ What have You done?”

Still others had trial of mockings and scourgings, yes, and of chains and imprisonment.

But let your‘ Yes’ be‘ Yes,’ and your‘ No,’‘ No.’ For whatever is more than these is from the evil one.

Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, to God who alone is wise, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.

And the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God who sat on the throne, saying,“ Amen! Alleluia!”

which He will manifest in His own time, He who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords,who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see, to whom be honor and everlasting power. Amen.Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy.

Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.

They shall drive you from men, your dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field, and they shall make you eat grass like oxen. They shall wet you with the dew of heaven, and seven times shall pass over you, till you know that the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, and gives it to whomever He chooses.

and the prophet Jeremiah said,“ Amen! The Lord do so; the Lord perform your words which you have prophesied, to bring back the vessels of the LORD’s house and all who were carried away captive, from Babylon to this place.

Otherwise, if you bless with the spirit, how will he who occupies the place of the uninformed say“ Amen” at your giving of thanks, since he does not understand what you say?
