Or do I make my plans according to mere human standards so that I would be saying both“ Yes, yes” and“ No, no” at the same time?But as God is faithful, our message to you is not“ Yes” and“ No.”For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, the one who was proclaimed among you by us– by me and Silvanus and Timothy– was not“ Yes” and“ No,” but it has always been“ Yes” in him.For every one of God’s promises are“ Yes” in him; therefore also through him the“ Amen” is spoken, to the glory we give to God.

When anyone hears the word about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches what was sown in his heart; this is the seed sown along the path.

We know that everyone fathered by God does not sin, but God protects the one he has fathered, and the evil one cannot touch him.

I am writing to you, fathers, that you have known him who has been from the beginning. I am writing to you, young people, that you have conquered the evil one.

The field is the world and the good seed are the people of the kingdom. The weeds are the people of the evil one,

And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.

For out of the heart come evil ideas, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander.

I am not asking you to take them out of the world, but that you keep them safe from the evil one.
