Put to death therefore your members which are on the earth: sexual immorality, uncleanness, depraved passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.

For if you live after the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.

Therefore, since Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind; for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin,that you no longer should live the rest of your time in the flesh for the lusts of men, but for the will of God.For we have spent enough of our past time doing the desire of the Gentiles, and having walked in lewdness, lusts, drunken binges, orgies, carousings, and abominable idolatries.

Those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts.

knowing this, that our old man was crucified with him, that the body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be in bondage to sin.

but I beat my body and bring it into submission, lest by any means, after I have preached to others, I myself should be rejected.

It is better for you to enter into life maimed or crippled, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into the eternal fire.If your eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out, and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into the Gehenna of fire.

For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever will lose his life for my sake, will save it.For what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses or forfeits his own self?

For what does it profit a man, to gain the whole world, and forfeit his life?

For what will it profit a man, if he gains the whole world, and forfeits his life? Or what will a man give in exchange for his life?

But I tell you that everyone who is angry with his brother without a cause will be in danger of the judgment. Whoever says to his brother,‘ Raca!’ will be in danger of the council. Whoever says,‘ You fool!’ will be in danger of the fire of Gehenna.

Remove your way far from her. Don’t come near the door of her house,lest you give your honor to others, and your years to the cruel one;lest strangers feast on your wealth, and your labors enrich another man’s house.You will groan at your latter end, when your flesh and your body are consumed,and say,“ How I have hated instruction, and my heart despised reproof;neither have I obeyed the voice of my teachers, nor turned my ear to those who instructed me!I have come to the brink of utter ruin, among the gathered assembly.”

You serpents, you offspring of vipers, how will you escape the judgment of Gehenna?

For there are eunuchs who were born that way from their mother’s womb, and there are eunuchs who were made eunuchs by men; and there are eunuchs who made themselves eunuchs for the Kingdom of Heaven’s sake. He who is able to receive it, let him receive it.”

Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you travel around by sea and land to make one proselyte; and when he becomes one, you make him twice as much a son of Gehenna as yourselves.

Don’t be afraid of those who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul. Rather, fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in Gehenna.

But I will warn you whom you should fear. Fear him who after he has killed, has power to cast into Gehenna. Yes, I tell you, fear him.
