So, since Christ suffered in the flesh, you also arm yourselves with the same attitude, because the one who has suffered in the flesh has finished with sin,in that he spends the rest of his time on earth concerned about the will of God and not human desires.For the time that has passed was sufficient for you to do what the non- Christians desire. You lived then in debauchery, evil desires, drunkenness, carousing, drinking bouts, and wanton idolatries.

Now those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

We know that our old man was crucified with him so that the body of sin would no longer dominate us, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin.

Instead I subdue my body and make it my slave, so that after preaching to others I myself will not be disqualified.

But I say to you that anyone who is angry with a brother will be subjected to judgment. And whoever insults a brother will be brought before the council, and whoever says‘ Fool’ will be sent to fiery hell.

Keep yourself far from her, and do not go near the door of her house,lest you give your vigor to others and your years to a cruel person,lest strangers devour your strength, and your labor benefit another man’s house.And at the end of your life you will groan when your flesh and your body are wasted away.And you will say,“ How I hated discipline! My heart spurned reproof!For I did not obey my teachers and I did not heed my instructors.I almost came to complete ruin in the midst of the whole congregation!”

You snakes, you offspring of vipers! How will you escape being condemned to hell?

For there are some eunuchs who were that way from birth, and some who were made eunuchs by others, and some who became eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. The one who is able to accept this should accept it.”

“ Woe to you, experts in the law and you Pharisees, hypocrites! You cross land and sea to make one convert, and when you get one, you make him twice as much a child of hell as yourselves!

Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Instead, fear the one who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

But I will warn you whom you should fear: Fear the one who, after the killing, has authority to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him!
