But I tell you that anyone who is angry with a brother or sister will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to a brother or sister,‘ Raca,’ is answerable to the court. And anyone who says,‘ You fool!’ will be in danger of the fire of hell.

But I say, if you are even angry with someone, you are subject to judgment! If you call someone an idiot, you are in danger of being brought before the court. And if you curse someone, you are in danger of the fires of hell.

But I tell you, everyone who is angry with his brother or sister will be subject to judgment. Whoever insults his brother or sister, will be subject to the court. Whoever says,‘ You fool!’ will be subject to hellfire.

But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother shall be answerable to the court; and whoever says to his brother,‘ You good for nothing,’ shall be answerable to the supreme court; and whoever says,‘ You fool,’ shall be guilty enough to go into the fiery hell.

But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment. And whoever says to his brother,‘ Raca!’ shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says,‘ You fool!’ shall be in danger of hell fire.

but I say unto you, that every one who is angry with his brother shall be in danger of the judgment; and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council; and whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of the hell of fire.

But I tell you, everyone who is angry with his brother will be subject to judgment. And whoever says to his brother,‘ Fool!’ will be subject to the Sanhedrin. But whoever says,‘ You moron!’ will be subject to hellfire.

But I say to you that anyone who is angry with a brother will be subjected to judgment. And whoever insults a brother will be brought before the council, and whoever says‘ Fool’ will be sent to fiery hell.

But I tell you that everyone who is angry with his brother without a cause will be in danger of the judgment. Whoever says to his brother,‘ Raca!’ will be in danger of the council. Whoever says,‘ You fool!’ will be in danger of the fire of Gehenna.

If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.

We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not[ his] brother abideth in death.Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:Neither give place to the devil.

And the tongue[ is] a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.

Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.

To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers,[ but] gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.

Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed[ himself] to him that judgeth righteously:

And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.

For the poor shall never cease out of the land: therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land.

Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?

[ Be] kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;

And straightway in the morning the chief priests held a consultation with the elders and scribes and the whole council, and bound Jesus, and carried[ him] away, and delivered[ him] to Pilate.

And the chief priests and all the council sought for witness against Jesus to put him to death; and found none.

Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.

So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.

Then gathered the chief priests and the Pharisees a council, and said, What do we? for this man doeth many miracles.

But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues;

They compassed me about also with words of hatred; and fought against me without a cause.

But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God’s throne:

A wise[ man] feareth, and departeth from evil: but the fool rageth, and is confident.

If I have rewarded evil unto him that was at peace with me;( yea, I have delivered him that without cause is mine enemy:)

Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

That no[ man] go beyond and defraud his brother in[ any] matter: because that the Lord[ is] the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified.

Now the chief priests, and elders, and all the council, sought false witness against Jesus, to put him to death;

Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast[ them] from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire.And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast[ it] from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire.

For[ thy] violence against thy brother Jacob shame shall cover thee, and thou shalt be cut off for ever.

Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee;Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.

And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;

This is that Moses, which said unto the children of Israel, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear.

The people answered and said, Thou hast a devil: who goeth about to kill thee?

Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.

And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

Then certain philosophers of the Epicureans, and of the Stoicks, encountered him. And some said, What will this babbler say? other some, He seemeth to be a setter forth of strange gods: because he preached unto them Jesus, and the resurrection.

But brother goeth to law with brother, and that before the unbelievers.

See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more[ shall not] we[ escape], if we turn away from him that[ speaketh] from heaven:

But thou shouldest not have looked on the day of thy brother in the day that he became a stranger; neither shouldest thou have rejoiced over the children of Judah in the day of their destruction; neither shouldest thou have spoken proudly in the day of distress.

Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.

And thus said Shimei when he cursed, Come out, come out, thou bloody man, and thou man of Belial:

And when they had brought them, they set[ them] before the council: and the high priest asked them,

Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed: let them be ashamed which transgress without cause.

And the people answered him after this manner, saying, So shall it be done to the man that killeth him.And Eliab his eldest brother heard when he spake unto the men; and Eliab’s anger was kindled against David, and he said, Why camest thou down hither? and with whom hast thou left those few sheep in the wilderness? I know thy pride, and the naughtiness of thine heart; for thou art come down that thou mightest see the battle.

And I said unto them, We after our ability have redeemed our brethren the Jews, which were sold unto the heathen; and will ye even sell your brethren? or shall they be sold unto us? Then held they their peace, and found nothing[ to answer].

But[ this cometh to pass], that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.

Then Asa was wroth with the seer, and put him in a prison house; for[ he was] in a rage with him because of this[ thing]. And Asa oppressed[ some] of the people the same time.

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.

[ Ye] serpents,[ ye] generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?

Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.

And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you.And it shall come to pass,[ that] every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.

But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen?

The fool hath said in his heart,[ There is] no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works,[ there is] none that doeth good.

And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire:Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

Let not them that are mine enemies wrongfully rejoice over me:[ neither] let them wink with the eye that hate me without a cause.

Mine enemies chased me sore, like a bird, without cause.

They that hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of mine head: they that would destroy me,[ being] mine enemies wrongfully, are mighty: then I restored[ that] which I took not away.

A brutish man knoweth not; neither doth a fool understand this.

[ As] the partridge sitteth[ on eggs], and hatcheth[ them] not;[ so] he that getteth riches, and not by right, shall leave them in the midst of his days, and at his end shall be a fool.

Then David returned to bless his household. And Michal the daughter of Saul came out to meet David, and said, How glorious was the king of Israel to day, who uncovered himself to day in the eyes of the handmaids of his servants, as one of the vain fellows shamelessly uncovereth himself!

And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast[ it] from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not[ that] thy whole body should be cast into hell.And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast[ it] from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not[ that] thy whole body should be cast into hell.

But when the Pharisees heard[ it], they said, This[ fellow] doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.

Then was Nebuchadnezzar full of fury, and the form of his visage was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego:[ therefore] he spake, and commanded that they should heat the furnace one seven times more than it was wont to be heated.

But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?

Then answered the Jews, and said unto him, Say we not well that thou art a Samaritan, and hast a devil?

And his brethren said to him, Shalt thou indeed reign over us? or shalt thou indeed have dominion over us? And they hated him yet the more for his dreams, and for his words.

A fool’s lips enter into contention, and his mouth calleth for strokes.

For this cause the king was angry and very furious, and commanded to destroy all the wise[ men] of Babylon.And the decree went forth that the wise[ men] should be slain; and they sought Daniel and his fellows to be slain.

And Ahab came into his house heavy and displeased because of the word which Naboth the Jezreelite had spoken to him: for he had said, I will not give thee the inheritance of my fathers. And he laid him down upon his bed, and turned away his face, and would eat no bread.

While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.

And Saul said, Hear now, thou son of Ahitub. And he answered, Here I[ am], my lord.And Saul said unto him, Why have ye conspired against me, thou and the son of Jesse, in that thou hast given him bread, and a sword, and hast enquired of God for him, that he should rise against me, to lie in wait, as at this day?Then Ahimelech answered the king, and said, And who[ is so] faithful among all thy servants as David, which is the king’s son in law, and goeth at thy bidding, and is honourable in thine house?Did I then begin to enquire of God for him? be it far from me: let not the king impute[ any] thing unto his servant,[ nor] to all the house of my father: for thy servant knew nothing of all this, less or more.And the king said, Thou shalt surely die, Ahimelech, thou, and all thy father’s house.And the king said unto the footmen that stood about him, Turn, and slay the priests of the LORD; because their hand also[ is] with David, and because they knew when he fled, and did not shew it to me. But the servants of the king would not put forth their hand to fall upon the priests of the LORD.And the king said to Doeg, Turn thou, and fall upon the priests. And Doeg the Edomite turned, and he fell upon the priests, and slew on that day fourscore and five persons that did wear a linen ephod.And Nob, the city of the priests, smote he with the edge of the sword, both men and women, children and sucklings, and oxen, and asses, and sheep, with the edge of the sword.And one of the sons of Ahimelech the son of Ahitub, named Abiathar, escaped, and fled after David.And Abiathar shewed David that Saul had slain the LORD’S priests.And David said unto Abiathar, I knew[ it] that day, when Doeg the Edomite[ was] there, that he would surely tell Saul: I have occasioned[ the death] of all the persons of thy father’s house.Abide thou with me, fear not: for he that seeketh my life seeketh thy life: but with me thou[ shalt be] in safeguard.

For he seeth[ that] wise men die, likewise the fool and the brutish person perish, and leave their wealth to others.

And when his brethren saw that their father loved him more than all his brethren, they hated him, and could not speak peaceably unto him.

And when Haman saw that Mordecai bowed not, nor did him reverence, then was Haman full of wrath.And he thought scorn to lay hands on Mordecai alone; for they had shewed him the people of Mordecai: wherefore Haman sought to destroy all the Jews that[ were] throughout the whole kingdom of Ahasuerus,[ even] the people of Mordecai.

Then Nebuchadnezzar in[ his] rage and fury commanded to bring Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Then they brought these men before the king.

But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, He hath a devil.The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a man gluttonous, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners. But wisdom is justified of her children.

And Saul was very wroth, and the saying displeased him; and he said, They have ascribed unto David ten thousands, and to me they have ascribed[ but] thousands: and[ what] can he have more but the kingdom?And Saul eyed David from that day and forward.

Then Saul’s anger was kindled against Jonathan, and he said unto him, Thou son of the perverse rebellious[ woman], do not I know that thou hast chosen the son of Jesse to thine own confusion, and unto the confusion of thy mother’s nakedness?For as long as the son of Jesse liveth upon the ground, thou shalt not be established, nor thy kingdom. Wherefore now send and fetch him unto me, for he shall surely die.And Jonathan answered Saul his father, and said unto him, Wherefore shall he be slain? what hath he done?And Saul cast a javelin at him to smite him: whereby Jonathan knew that it was determined of his father to slay David.

I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.And it shall come to pass,[ that] whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require[ it] of him.
