For Christ is the end of the Law for righteousness to everyone who believes.

But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one stroke of a letter of the Law to fail.

so that the requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

But when the fullness of the time came, God sent His Son, born of a woman, born under the Law,so that He might redeem those who were under the Law, that we might receive the adoption as sons and daughters.

Do we then nullify the Law through faith? Far from it! On the contrary, we establish the Law.

The Lord was pleased for His righteousness’ sake To make the Law great and glorious.

What I am saying is this: the Law, which came 430 years later, does not invalidate a covenant previously ratified by God, so as to nullify the promise.For if the inheritance is based on law, it is no longer based on a promise; but God has granted it to Abraham by means of a promise.Why the Law then? It was added on account of the violations, having been ordered through angels at the hand of a mediator, until the Seed would come to whom the promise had been made.Now a mediator is not for one party only; but God is only one.Is the Law then contrary to the promises of God? Far from it! For if a law had been given that was able to impart life, then righteousness would indeed have been based on law.But the Scripture has confined everyone under sin, so that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.But before faith came, we were kept in custody under the Law, being confined for the faith that was destined to be revealed.Therefore the Law has become our guardian to lead us to Christ, so that we may be justified by faith.

“ In everything, therefore, treat people the same way you want them to treat you, for this is the Law and the Prophets.

Therefore, no one is to act as your judge in regard to food and drink, or in respect to a festival or a new moon, or a Sabbath day—things which are only a shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ.

You have not desired sacrifice and meal offering; You have opened my ears; You have not required burnt offering and sin offering.Then I said,“ Behold, I have come; It is written of me in the scroll of the book.I delight to do Your will, my God; Your Law is within my heart.”

But in those sacrifices there is a reminder of sins every year.For it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.Therefore, when He comes into the world, He says,“ You have not desired sacrifice and offering, But You have prepared a body for Me;You have not taken pleasure in whole burnt offerings and offerings for sin.Then I said,‘ Behold, I have come( It is written of Me in the scroll of the book) To do Your will, O God.’ ”After saying above,“ Sacrifices and offerings and whole burnt offerings and offerings for sin You have not desired, nor have You taken pleasure in them”( which are offered according to the Law),then He said,“ Behold, I have come to do Your will.” He takes away the first in order to establish the second.By this will, we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all time.Every priest stands daily ministering and offering time after time the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins;but He, having offered one sacrifice for sins for all time, sat down at the right hand of God,

But Jesus, answering, said to him,“ Allow it at this time; for in this way it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.” Then he* allowed Him.

They put forward false witnesses who said,“ This man does not stop speaking against this holy place and the Law;

Now in the Law, Moses commanded us to stone such women; what then do You say?”

saying,“ This man is inciting the people to worship God contrary to the law.”

crying out,“ Men of Israel, help! This is the man who instructs everyone everywhere against our people and the Law and this place; and besides, he has even brought Greeks into the temple and has defiled this holy place!”
