Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Be joyful and glad. Your reward in heaven is great. In the same way, people hurt the prophets who lived long ago.

Now he who plants and he who waters are the same, but each will receive his own reward according to his own labor.

Wicked people earn deceitful wages, but one who sows righteousness reaps a sure reward.

who killed both the Lord Jesus and their own prophets, and drove us out, and don’t please God, and are contrary to all men,

May Yahweh repay your work, and a full reward be given to you from Yahweh, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge.”

After these things Yahweh’s word came to Abram in a vision, saying,“ Don’t be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward.”

considering the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures of Egypt; for he looked to the reward.

so that your merciful deeds may be in secret, then your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.“ When you pray, you shall not be as the hypocrites, for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward. He who receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man will receive a righteous man’s reward.Whoever gives one of these little ones just a cup of cold water to drink in the name of a disciple, most certainly I tell you he will in no way lose his reward.”

Moreover your servant is warned by them. In keeping them there is great reward.

“ Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, like a hen gathers her own brood under her wings, and you refused!

When Jeremiah had finished speaking all that Yahweh had commanded him to speak to all the people, the priests and the prophets and all the people seized him, saying,“ You shall surely die!

The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat,“ There is yet one man by whom we may inquire of Yahweh, Micaiah the son of Imlah; but I hate him, for he does not prophesy good concerning me, but evil.” Jehoshaphat said,“ Don’t let the king say so.”

Ahab said to Elijah,“ Have you found me, my enemy?” He answered,“ I have found you, because you have sold yourself to do that which is evil in Yahweh’s sight.

Then Asa was angry with the seer, and put him in the prison; for he was in a rage with him because of this thing. Asa oppressed some of the people at the same time.

The Spirit of God came on Zechariah the son of Jehoiada the priest; and he stood above the people, and said to them,“ God says,‘ Why do you disobey Yahweh’s commandments, so that you can’t prosper? Because you have forsaken Yahweh, he has also forsaken you.’”They conspired against him, and stoned him with stones at the commandment of the king in the court of Yahweh’s house.Thus Joash the king didn’t remember the kindness which Jehoiada his father had done to him, but killed his son. When he died, he said,“ May Yahweh look at it, and repay it.”

He said,“ I have been very jealous for Yahweh, the God of Armies; for the children of Israel have forsaken your covenant, thrown down your altars, and killed your prophets with the sword. I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.”He said,“ Go out, and stand on the mountain before Yahweh.” Behold, Yahweh passed by, and a great and strong wind tore the mountains, and broke in pieces the rocks before Yahweh; but Yahweh was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake; but Yahweh was not in the earthquake.After the earthquake a fire passed; but Yahweh was not in the fire. After the fire, there was a still small voice.When Elijah heard it, he wrapped his face in his mantle, went out, and stood in the entrance of the cave. Behold, a voice came to him, and said,“ What are you doing here, Elijah?”He said,“ I have been very jealous for Yahweh, the God of Armies; for the children of Israel have forsaken your covenant, thrown down your altars, and killed your prophets with the sword. I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.”

for when Jezebel cut off Yahweh’s prophets, Obadiah took one hundred prophets, and hid them by fifty in a cave, and fed them with bread and water.)

Then Jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah, saying,“ So let the gods do to me, and more also, if I don’t make your life as the life of one of them by tomorrow about this time!”
