Your Majesty, the Most High God gave sovereignty, greatness, glory, and majesty to your predecessor Nebuchadnezzar.Because of the greatness he gave him, all peoples, nations, and languages were terrified and fearful of him. He killed anyone he wanted and kept alive anyone he wanted; he exalted anyone he wanted and humbled anyone he wanted.

In their case, the god of this age has blinded the minds of the unbelievers to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

Then I fell at his feet to worship him, but he said to me,“ Don’t do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers and sisters who hold firmly to the testimony of Jesus. Worship God, because the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”

He must not be a new convert, or he might become conceited and incur the same condemnation as the devil.

Jesus knew that the Father had given everything into his hands, that he had come from God, and that he was going back to God.

It is by me that kings reign and rulers enact just law;

Let all kings bow in homage to him, all nations serve him.

I will not talk with you much longer, because the ruler of the world is coming. He has no power over me.

and said,“ What are you willing to give me if I hand him over to you?” So they weighed out thirty pieces of silver for him.

The LORD brings poverty and gives wealth; he humbles and he exalts.He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the trash heap. He seats them with noblemen and gives them a throne of honor. For the foundations of the earth are the LORD’s; he has set the world on them.

Your Majesty, you are king of kings. The God of the heavens has given you sovereignty, power, strength, and glory.Wherever people live— or wild animals, or birds of the sky— he has handed them over to you and made you ruler over them all. You are the head of gold.

Now is the judgment of this world. Now the ruler of this world will be cast out.

You will be driven away from people to live with the wild animals, and you will feed on grass like cattle for seven periods of time, until you acknowledge that the Most High is ruler over human kingdoms, and he gives them to anyone he wants.”

“ By my great strength and outstretched arm, I made the earth, and the people, and animals on the face of the earth. I give it to anyone I please.So now I have placed all these lands under the authority of my servant Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon. I have even given him the wild animals to serve him.

This is the interpretation of the message:‘ Mene’ means that God has numbered the days of your kingdom and brought it to an end.‘ Tekel’ means that you have been weighed on the balance and found deficient.‘ Peres’ means that your kingdom has been divided and given to the Medes and Persians.”
