so that they even carried out the sick into the streets and laid them on cots and mats, that as Peter came by at least his shadow might fall on some of them.The people also gathered from the towns around Jerusalem, bringing the sick and those afflicted with unclean spirits, and they were all healed.

Soon afterward he went on through cities and villages, proclaiming and bringing the good news of the kingdom of God. And the twelve were with him,

And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

He went on from there and entered their synagogue.

That evening they brought to him many who were oppressed by demons, and he cast out the spirits with a word and healed all who were sick.This was to fulfill what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah:“ He took our illnesses and bore our diseases.”

And as was his custom, he went to the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and he stood up to read.And the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was given to him. He unrolled the scroll and found the place where it was written,“ The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed,

That evening at sundown they brought to him all who were sick or oppressed by demons.And the whole city was gathered together at the door.And he healed many who were sick with various diseases, and cast out many demons. And he would not permit the demons to speak, because they knew him.

And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written,“ How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!”

Jesus answered him,“ I have spoken openly to the world. I have always taught in synagogues and in the temple, where all Jews come together. I have said nothing in secret.

Now after John was arrested, Jesus came into Galilee, proclaiming the gospel of God,

And he marveled because of their unbelief. And he went about among the villages teaching.

And great crowds came to him, bringing with them the lame, the blind, the crippled, the mute, and many others, and they put them at his feet, and he healed them,so that the crowd wondered, when they saw the mute speaking, the crippled healthy, the lame walking, and the blind seeing. And they glorified the God of Israel.

but he said to them,“ I must preach the good news of the kingdom of God to the other towns as well; for I was sent for this purpose.”And he was preaching in the synagogues of Judea.

They said to themselves,“ We will utterly subdue them”; they burned all the meeting places of God in the land.

But Ananias answered,“ Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how much evil he has done to your saints at Jerusalem.And here he has authority from the chief priests to bind all who call on your name.”But the Lord said to him,“ Go, for he is a chosen instrument of mine to carry my name before the Gentiles and kings and the children of Israel.For I will show him how much he must suffer for the sake of my name.”So Ananias departed and entered the house. And laying his hands on him he said,“ Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus who appeared to you on the road by which you came has sent me so that you may regain your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.”And immediately something like scales fell from his eyes, and he regained his sight. Then he rose and was baptized;and taking food, he was strengthened. For some days he was with the disciples at Damascus.And immediately he proclaimed Jesus in the synagogues, saying,“ He is the Son of God.”And all who heard him were amazed and said,“ Is not this the man who made havoc in Jerusalem of those who called upon this name? And has he not come here for this purpose, to bring them bound before the chief priests?”But Saul increased all the more in strength, and confounded the Jews who lived in Damascus by proving that Jesus was the Christ.When many days had passed, the Jews plotted to kill him,but their plot became known to Saul. They were watching the gates day and night in order to kill him,but his disciples took him by night and let him down through an opening in the wall, lowering him in a basket.And when he had come to Jerusalem, he attempted to join the disciples. And they were all afraid of him, for they did not believe that he was a disciple.But Barnabas took him and brought him to the apostles and declared to them how on the road he had seen the Lord, who spoke to him, and how at Damascus he had preached boldly in the name of Jesus.So he went in and out among them at Jerusalem, preaching boldly in the name of the Lord.And he spoke and disputed against the Hellenists. But they were seeking to kill him.And when the brothers learned this, they brought him down to Caesarea and sent him off to Tarsus.So the church throughout all Judea and Galilee and Samaria had peace and was being built up. And walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, it multiplied.Now as Peter went here and there among them all, he came down also to the saints who lived at Lydda.There he found a man named Aeneas, bedridden for eight years, who was paralyzed.And Peter said to him,“ Aeneas, Jesus Christ heals you; rise and make your bed.” And immediately he rose.And all the residents of Lydda and Sharon saw him, and they turned to the Lord.Now there was in Joppa a disciple named Tabitha, which, translated, means Dorcas. She was full of good works and acts of charity.In those days she became ill and died, and when they had washed her, they laid her in an upper room.Since Lydda was near Joppa, the disciples, hearing that Peter was there, sent two men to him, urging him,“ Please come to us without delay.”So Peter rose and went with them. And when he arrived, they took him to the upper room. All the widows stood beside him weeping and showing tunics and other garments that Dorcas made while she was with them.But Peter put them all outside, and knelt down and prayed; and turning to the body he said,“ Tabitha, arise.” And she opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter she sat up.And he gave her his hand and raised her up. Then, calling the saints and widows, he presented her alive.And it became known throughout all Joppa, and many believed in the Lord.And he stayed in Joppa for many days with one Simon, a tanner.

Now he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath.

On one of those days, as he was teaching, Pharisees and teachers of the law were sitting there, who had come from every village of Galilee and Judea and from Jerusalem. And the power of the Lord was with him to heal.

When anyone hears the word of the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what has been sown in his heart. This is what was sown along the path.

Jesus said these things in the synagogue, as he taught at Capernaum.

And proclaim as you go, saying,‘ The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, cast out demons. You received without paying; give without pay.

And now, behold, I know that none of you among whom I have gone about proclaiming the kingdom will see my face again.

When the crowds learned it, they followed him, and he welcomed them and spoke to them of the kingdom of God and cured those who had need of healing.

And he came down with them and stood on a level place, with a great crowd of his disciples and a great multitude of people from all Judea and Jerusalem and the seacoast of Tyre and Sidon,

Now when the sun was setting, all those who had any who were sick with various diseases brought them to him, and he laid his hands on every one of them and healed them.And demons also came out of many, crying,“ You are the Son of God!” But he rebuked them and would not allow them to speak, because they knew that he was the Christ.

And he reasoned in the synagogue every Sabbath, and tried to persuade Jews and Greeks.

One day, as Jesus was teaching the people in the temple and preaching the gospel, the chief priests and the scribes with the elders came up

When he went ashore he saw a great crowd, and he had compassion on them and healed their sick.

After this Jesus went about in Galilee. He would not go about in Judea, because the Jews were seeking to kill him.

Heal the sick in it and say to them,‘ The kingdom of God has come near to you.’

“ Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
