As he went along the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew, Simon’s brother, casting a net into the sea( for they were fishermen).Jesus said to them,“ Follow me, and I will turn you into fishers of people.”They left their nets immediately and followed him.Going on a little farther, he saw James, the son of Zebedee, and John his brother in their boat mending nets.Immediately he called them, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired men and followed him.

When he left there, Jesus went along the Sea of Galilee. Then he went up a mountain, where he sat down.

Now Jesus was standing by the Lake of Gennesaret, and the crowd was pressing around him to hear the word of God.He saw two boats by the lake, but the fishermen had gotten out of them and were washing their nets.He got into one of the boats, which was Simon’s, and asked him to put out a little way from the shore. Then Jesus sat down and taught the crowds from the boat.When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon,“ Put out into the deep water and lower your nets for a catch.”Simon answered,“ Master, we worked hard all night and caught nothing! But at your word I will lower the nets.”When they had done this, they caught so many fish that their nets started to tear.So they motioned to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both boats, so that they were about to sink.But when Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying,“ Go away from me, Lord, for I am a sinful man!”For Peter and all who were with him were astonished at the catch of fish that they had taken,and so were James and John, Zebedee’s sons, who were Simon’s business partners. Then Jesus said to Simon,“ Do not be afraid; from now on you will be catching people.”So when they had brought their boats to shore, they left everything and followed him.

And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overpower it.

After this Jesus went away to the other side of the Sea of Galilee( also called the Sea of Tiberias).

and Jacob the father of Joseph, the husband of Mary, by whom Jesus was born, who is called Christ.So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations, and from David to the deportation to Babylon, fourteen generations, and from the deportation to Babylon to Christ, fourteen generations.Now the birth of Jesus Christ happened this way. While his mother Mary was engaged to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be pregnant through the Holy Spirit.

The Arabah and the Jordan River were also a border, from the sea of Chinnereth to the sea of the Arabah( that is, the Salt Sea), beneath the watershed of Pisgah to the east.

The border will run down from Shepham to Riblah, on the east side of Ain, and the border will descend and reach the eastern side of the Sea of Chinnereth.

After this Jesus revealed himself again to the disciples by the Sea of Tiberias. Now this is how he did so.

Elijah went from there and found Elisha son of Shaphat. He was plowing with twelve pairs of oxen; he was near the twelfth pair. Elijah passed by him and threw his robe over him.He left the oxen, ran after Elijah, and said,“ Please let me kiss my father and mother goodbye, then I will follow you.” Elijah said to him,“ Go back! Indeed, what have I done to you?”Elisha went back and took his pair of oxen and slaughtered them. He cooked the meat over a fire that he made by burning the harness and yoke. He gave the people meat and they ate. Then he got up and followed Elijah and became his assistant.

He chose David, his servant, and took him from the sheepfolds.He took him away from following the mother sheep, and made him the shepherd of Jacob, his people, and of Israel, his chosen nation.David cared for them with pure motives; he led them with skill.

Then Jesus went out again from the region of Tyre and came through Sidon to the Sea of Galilee in the region of the Decapolis.

Now Moses was shepherding the flock of his father-in-law Jethro, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the far side of the desert and came to the mountain of God, to Horeb.

The LORD’s angelic messenger came and sat down under the oak tree in Ophrah owned by Joash the Abiezrite. He arrived while Joash’s son Gideon was threshing wheat in a winepress so he could hide it from the Midianites.The LORD’s messenger appeared and said to him,“ The LORD is with you, courageous warrior!”

But God chose what the world thinks foolish to shame the wise, and God chose what the world thinks weak to shame the strong.God chose what is low and despised in the world, what is regarded as nothing, to set aside what is regarded as something,so that no one can boast in his presence.

So now go, and I will send you to Pharaoh to bring my people, the Israelites, out of Egypt.”

One of Jesus’ disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, said to him,

Amos replied to Amaziah,“ I was not a prophet by profession. No, I was a herdsman who also took care of sycamore fig trees.Then the LORD took me from tending flocks and gave me this commission,‘ Go! Prophesy to my people Israel!’
