This fulfilled what God said through the prophet Isaiah:

此亦所以應驗先知意灑雅之言云：

to fulfill what was said through the prophet Isaiah:

In that way, what the prophet Isaiah had said came true. He had said,

so that what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah might be fulfilled:

This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah:

This happened so that what was spoken through Isaiah the prophet would be fulfilled:

that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying:

That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying,

so that what was spoken by Isaiah the prophet would be fulfilled:

Nevertheless, that time of darkness and despair will not go on forever. The land of Zebulun and Naphtali will be humbled, but there will be a time in the future when Galilee of the Gentiles, which lies along the road that runs between the Jordan and the sea, will be filled with glory.The people who walk in darkness will see a great light. For those who live in a land of deep darkness, a light will shine.

All of this occurred to fulfill the Lord’s message through his prophet:

This fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah concerning him:“ Look at my Servant, whom I have chosen. He is my Beloved, who pleases me. I will put my Spirit upon him, and he will proclaim justice to the nations.He will not fight or shout or raise his voice in public.He will not crush the weakest reed or put out a flickering candle. Finally he will cause justice to be victorious.And his name will be the hope of all the world.”

These things happened in fulfillment of the Scriptures that say,“ Not one of his bones will be broken,”and“ They will look on the one they pierced.”

This fulfills what is written in their Scriptures:‘ They hated me without cause.’

This fulfilled the word of the Lord through the prophet Isaiah, who said,“ He took our sicknesses and removed our diseases.”

For the time has come for this prophecy about me to be fulfilled:‘ He was counted among the rebels.’ Yes, everything written about me by the prophets will come true.”

Jesus knew that his mission was now finished, and to fulfill Scripture he said,“ I am thirsty.”

and they stayed there until Herod’s death. This fulfilled what the Lord had spoken through the prophet:“ I called my Son out of Egypt.”

So the family went and lived in a town called Nazareth. This fulfilled what the prophets had said:“ He will be called a Nazarene.”

Then he said,“ When I was with you before, I told you that everything written about me in the law of Moses and the prophets and in the Psalms must be fulfilled.”

But if I did, how would the Scriptures be fulfilled that describe what must happen now?”

But this is all happening to fulfill the words of the prophets as recorded in the Scriptures.” At that point, all the disciples deserted him and fled.
