他們到了迦百農，耶穌在安息日去會堂裡講道。

祂又到了加利利的迦拿，就是祂從前把水變成酒的地方。有一個大臣的兒子在迦百農患了病。

「迦百農啊，你將被提升到天上嗎？不！你將被打落到陰間。因為若把在你那裡所行的神蹟行在所多瑪，它肯定會存留到今天。

耶穌卻從他們中間穿過，離開了那裡。耶穌下到加利利的迦百農鎮，在安息日教導眾人。

他們發現耶穌和門徒都不在那裡，就乘船到迦百農去找祂。

這番話是耶穌在迦百農會堂裡教導人的時候講的。

上了船，去湖對岸的迦百農。天色已暗，耶穌還沒到他們那裡。

耶穌對他們說：「你們肯定會把這句俗話用在我身上，說，『醫生啊，治好你自己吧！你在迦百農所行的一切，我們都聽說了，也在你家鄉行給我們看吧！』

他們來到迦百農，有幾個收聖殿稅的來問彼得：「你們的老師不納聖殿稅嗎？」

這事以後，耶穌和祂的母親、弟弟並門徒一起去迦百農住了幾天。
