The Lord does not delay His promise, as some understand delay, but is patient with you, not wanting any to perish but all to come to repentance.

At that time the disciples came to Jesus and said,“ Who is greatest in the kingdom of heaven?”Then He called a child to Him and had him stand among them.“ I assure you,” He said,“ unless you are converted and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child— this one is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

Those who are persecuted for righteousness are blessed, for the kingdom of heaven is theirs.

The men of Nineveh will stand up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it, because they repented at Jonah’s proclamation; and look— something greater than Jonah is here!

So they went out and preached that people should repent.
