耶穌一從水裡上來，就看見諸天裂開了，聖靈好像鴿子降臨在他身上。

耶和華的靈必停留在那一位身上，就是智慧和悟性的靈，謀略和大能的靈，知識和敬畏耶和華的靈。

有一次，當民眾都來受洗的時候，耶穌也受了洗。他正在禱告，天開了，聖靈好像鴿子，有形有體地降臨在他身上，並且有聲音從天上傳來，說：「你是我的愛子，我喜悅你。」

我以前也不認識他，但為了讓他向以色列顯明，所以我來用水施洗。」約翰又見證說：「我看到聖靈好像鴿子從天上降臨，停留在他身上。我以前也不認識他，可是那派我用水施洗的對我說：『如果你看見聖靈降臨在誰身上，又停留在誰身上，誰就是用聖靈施洗的那一位。』我看到了，就見證：這一位就是神的兒子。」

「看哪，我的僕人——我所扶持、我所揀選、我心所喜悅的！我已經把我的靈賜給他，他必給列國帶來公正。

他說：「看哪，我看見諸天開了，人子站在神的右邊。」

主耶和華的靈在我身上，因為耶和華膏抹我，要我傳好消息給卑微的人；他派遣我去治癒心靈破碎的人，去宣告被擄的得自由、被囚的得釋放，

神所差派的那一位，就說神的話語，因為神不靠著量度賜下聖靈。

他是身體的頭，就是教會的頭，他是元始，是從死人中首先復活的，為要使他能在萬有中居首位，因為父樂意使一切的豐盛完美都住在他裡面，

耶和華說：「至於我，我與他們所立的約就是：那在你身上的我的靈、我放在你口中的我的話，必不離開你的口，也不離開你後裔的口以及你後裔之後裔的口；從今直到永遠！」這是耶和華說的。
