<< Matthew 3:14 >>

  • John 3:3-7
Jesus replied,“ I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God.”“ What do you mean?” exclaimed Nicodemus.“ How can an old man go back into his mother’s womb and be born again?”Jesus replied,“ I assure you, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit.Humans can reproduce only human life, but the Holy Spirit gives birth to spiritual life.So don’t be surprised when I say,‘ You must be born again.’
  • Acts 1:5-8
John baptized with water, but in just a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.”So when the apostles were with Jesus, they kept asking him,“ Lord, has the time come for you to free Israel and restore our kingdom?”He replied,“ The Father alone has the authority to set those dates and times, and they are not for you to know. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere— in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
  • John 13:6-8
When Jesus came to Simon Peter, Peter said to him,“ Lord, are you going to wash my feet?”Jesus replied,“ You don’t understand now what I am doing, but someday you will.”“ No,” Peter protested,“ you will never ever wash my feet!” Jesus replied,“ Unless I wash you, you won’t belong to me.”
  • Romans 3:25
For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding his blood. This sacrifice shows that God was being fair when he held back and did not punish those who sinned in times past,
  • Galatians 3:27-29
And all who have been united with Christ in baptism have put on Christ, like putting on new clothes. There is no longer Jew or Gentile, slave or free, male and female. For you are all one in Christ Jesus. And now that you belong to Christ, you are the true children of Abraham. You are his heirs, and God’s promise to Abraham belongs to you.
  • John 1:16
From his abundance we have all received one gracious blessing after another.
  • Galatians 4:6
And because we are his children, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, prompting us to call out,“ Abba, Father.”
  • Luke 1:43
Why am I so honored, that the mother of my Lord should visit me?
  • Ephesians 2:3-5
All of us used to live that way, following the passionate desires and inclinations of our sinful nature. By our very nature we were subject to God’s anger, just like everyone else. But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead.( It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!)
  • Romans 3:23
For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.
  • Galatians 3:22
But the Scriptures declare that we are all prisoners of sin, so we receive God’s promise of freedom only by believing in Jesus Christ.
  • Revelation 7:9-17
After this I saw a vast crowd, too great to count, from every nation and tribe and people and language, standing in front of the throne and before the Lamb. They were clothed in white robes and held palm branches in their hands. And they were shouting with a great roar,“ Salvation comes from our God who sits on the throne and from the Lamb!”And all the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living beings. And they fell before the throne with their faces to the ground and worshiped God.They sang,“ Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and strength belong to our God forever and ever! Amen.”Then one of the twenty four elders asked me,“ Who are these who are clothed in white? Where did they come from?”And I said to him,“ Sir, you are the one who knows.” Then he said to me,“ These are the ones who died in the great tribulation. They have washed their robes in the blood of the Lamb and made them white.“ That is why they stand in front of God’s throne and serve him day and night in his Temple. And he who sits on the throne will give them shelter. They will never again be hungry or thirsty; they will never be scorched by the heat of the sun.For the Lamb on the throne will be their Shepherd. He will lead them to springs of life giving water. And God will wipe every tear from their eyes.”
