因此，主耶和華這樣說：“看哪！我的怒氣和忿怒，必倒在這地方，也必倒在人口、牲畜、田野的樹木和地的出產上；怒火燒起，不能熄滅。”

惡人卻不是這樣，他們好像糠秕，被風吹散。

那時，人子要差派他的使者，把一切使人犯罪的事和不法之徒，從他的國中拔掉，

可是，他來的日子，誰能當得起呢？他顯現的時候，誰能站立得住呢？因為他像煉金之人的火，又像漂布之人的鹼。他必坐著，像熬煉和潔淨銀子的人；他必潔淨利未人，煉淨他們像煉淨金銀一樣。這樣，他們就會憑公義獻禮物給耶和華。

耕地的牛和驢駒必吃加鹽的飼料，就是用鏟和叉所揚淨的。

他們要出去，觀看那些悖逆我的人的屍體；因為他們的蟲是不死的，他們的火是不滅的；他們必成為所有人恨惡的東西。”

因此，火舌怎樣吞滅碎稭，乾草怎樣落在火燄之中，照樣，他們的根必像腐朽之物，他們的花必像塵土飛揚；因為他們棄絕萬軍之耶和華的訓誨，藐視以色列聖者的話。

“我在這地的城門口，用簸箕簸了我的子民，使他們喪掉兒女，使他們滅亡；他們仍不轉離自己所行的路。

所有屬我而不結果子的枝子，他就剪去；所有結果子的，他就修剪乾淨，讓它結更多的果子。

願他們像風前的糠秕，有耶和華的使者驅逐他們。

但如果你們不聽從我，不守安息日為聖日，仍在安息日挑擔子，進入耶路撒冷的城門；這樣，我就必在耶路撒冷的各城門點起火來，燒毀耶路撒冷的堡壘，沒有人能夠撲滅。”

因此，他們必像早晨的雲霧，又如易逝的朝露，又像打穀場上的糠秕被旋風吹去，又像煙氣從煙囪上騰。

有權勢的必如麻絮，他所作的好像火星；都要一同焚毀，沒有人能撲滅。

那時，義人在他們父的國中，要像太陽一樣的照耀。有耳的，就應當聽。

到那時，必有話對這人民和耶路撒冷說：“有一陣熱風從曠野光禿的高岡，颳向我的子民（“我的子民”原文作“我子民的女子”），不是為簸散，也不是為揚淨；

他們何嘗像風前的乾草，何嘗像暴風颳去的糠秕？

對南地的樹林說：‘你要聽耶和華的話，主耶和華這樣說：看哪！我要在你中間點起火來，吞滅你中間所有青綠和枯乾的樹；猛烈的火燄必不熄滅；從南到北遍地都要燒焦。所有的人都必看見是我耶和華使這火燃起來；這火必不熄滅。’”

耶和華說：“看哪！我必下令，我必在列國中篩以色列家，好像人用篩子篩穀，但穀粒不會落在地上。

這世代終結的時候，也是一樣。那時天使要出去，把惡人從義人中分別出來。丟進火爐，在那裡必要哀哭切齒。
