Then she turned around and saw Jesus standing there. But she didn’t realize that it was Jesus.He asked her,“ Woman, why are you crying? Who are you looking for?” She thought he was the gardener. So she said,“ Sir, did you carry him away? Tell me where you put him. Then I will go and get him.”Jesus said to her,“ Mary.” She turned toward him. Then she cried out in the Aramaic language,“ Rabboni!” Rabboni means Teacher.Jesus said,“ Do not hold on to me. I have not yet ascended to the Father. Instead, go to those who believe in me. Tell them,‘ I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’ ”

Then those in the boat worshiped Jesus. They said,“ You really are the Son of God!”

When they saw him, they worshiped him. But some still had their doubts.

Thomas said to him,“ My Lord and my God!”

Then they worshiped him. With great joy, they returned to Jerusalem.

Jesus rose from the dead early on the first day of the week. He appeared first to Mary Magdalene. He had driven seven demons out of her.She went and told those who had been with him. She found them crying. They were very sad.

Then Mary took about a pint of pure nard. It was an expensive perfume. She poured it on Jesus’ feet and wiped them with her hair. The house was filled with the sweet smell of the perfume.

Then I looked and heard the voice of millions and millions of angels. They surrounded the throne. They surrounded the living creatures and the elders.In a loud voice they were saying,“ The Lamb, who was put to death, is worthy! He is worthy to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength! He is worthy to receive honor and glory and praise!”All creatures in heaven, on earth, under the earth, and on the sea were speaking. The whole creation was speaking. I heard all of them say,“ Praise and honor belong to the one who sits on the throne and to the Lamb! Glory and power belong to God for ever and ever!”The four living creatures said,“ Amen.” And the elders fell down and worshiped.

Some people claim they are Jews but are not. They are liars. Their worship comes from Satan. I will make them come and fall down at your feet. I will make them say in public that I have loved you.

On the evening of that first day of the week, the disciples were together. They had locked the doors because they were afraid of the Jewish leaders. Jesus came in and stood among them. He said,“ May peace be with you!”

The angel greeted her and said,“ The Lord has blessed you in a special way. He is with you.”

She stood behind Jesus and cried at his feet. And she began to wet his feet with her tears. Then she wiped them with her hair. She kissed them and poured perfume on them.

Finally, brothers and sisters, be joyful! Work to make things right with one another. Help one another and agree with one another. Live in peace. And the God who gives love and peace will be with you.

Those on guard duty found me as they were walking around in the city.‘ Have you seen the one my heart loves?’ I asked.As soon as I had passed by them I found the one my heart loves. I threw my arms around him and didn’t let him go until I had brought him to my mother’s house. I took him to my mother’s room.

You come to help those who enjoy doing what is right. You help those who thank you for teaching them how to live. But when we continued to disobey you, you became angry with us. So how can we be saved?
