看見兩個天使穿着白衣，在安放耶穌身體的地方坐着，一個在頭，一個在腳。天使對她說：「婦人，你為甚麼哭？」她對他們說：「因為有人把我主移走了，我不知道他們把他放在哪裏。」

他們得了啟示，知道他們所服事的不是自己，而是你們。那藉着從天上差來的聖靈傳福音給你們的人，現在將這些事傳給你們；這些事連天使也都切望察看呢！

發現石頭已經從墳墓滾開了，她們就進去，只是不見主耶穌的身體。正在為這事困惑的時候，忽然有兩個人站在旁邊，衣服放光。婦女們非常害怕，就俯伏在地上。那兩個人對她們說：「為甚麼在死人中找活人呢？

彼此說：「誰要替我們把石頭從墓門滾開呢？」她們抬頭一看，看見石頭已經滾開了，原來那石頭很大。她們進了墳墓，看見一個年輕人坐在右邊，穿着白袍，就很驚奇。

忽然，地大震動，甚至監牢的地基都搖動了，監門立刻全開，眾囚犯的鎖鏈也都解開了。

敬虔的奧祕是公認為偉大的：上帝在肉身顯現，被聖靈稱義，被天使看見，被傳於外邦，被世人信服，被接在榮耀裏。

忽然，殿的幔子從上到下裂為兩半，地震動，磐石崩裂，墳墓也開了，有許多已睡了的聖徒的身體也復活了。耶穌復活以後，他們從墳墓裏出來，進了聖城，向許多人顯現。

七日的第一日清早，天還黑的時候，抹大拉的馬利亞來到墳墓，看見石頭已從墳墓挪開了，

於是，上帝天上的聖所開了，在他聖所中，他的約櫃出現了；隨後有閃電、響聲、雷轟、地震、大冰雹。
