看见两个身穿白衣的天使，坐在安放耶稣身体的地方，一个在头那边，一个在脚那边。天使问她：“妇人，你为什么哭？”她说：“有人把我的主搬走了，我不知道他们把他放在哪里。”

他们蒙了启示，为这些事效力，并不是为自己，而是为你们。现在，藉着传福音给你们的人，靠着从天上差来的圣灵，把这些事传给了你们；甚至天使也很想详细察看这些事。

发现石头已经从坟墓辊开了，就进去，却找不着主耶稣的身体。她们正为此事猜疑的时候，忽然有两个人，穿着闪烁耀目的衣服，站在她们旁边。她们害怕，把脸伏在地上。那两个人对她们说：“为什么在死人中找活人呢？

彼此说：“谁可以给我们辊开墓门的石头呢？”原来那块石头非常大，她们抬头一看，却见石头已经辊开了。她们进了坟墓，看见一位身穿白袍的青年，坐在右边，就非常惊恐。

忽然发生了大地震，以致监牢的地基都摇动起来，所有的监门立刻开了，囚犯的锁链都松了。

敬虔的奥秘真伟大啊，这是众人所公认的，就是：“他在肉身显现，在圣灵里称义（“在圣灵里称义”或译：“被圣灵称义”），被天使看见；被传于列国，被世人信服，被接到荣耀里。”

忽然，圣所里的幔子从上到下裂成两半；地面震动，石头崩裂；而且坟墓开了，许多睡了的圣徒的身体也复活了，从坟墓里出来；到了耶稣复活之后，他们进到圣城向许多人显现。

礼拜日清早，天还没有亮的时候，抹大拉的马利亚来到墓旁，看见石头已经从坟墓移开了。

于是，在天上神的圣所开了，他的约柜就在他的圣所中显现出来。随即有闪电、响声、雷轰、地震、大冰雹。
