Indeed, he says,“ It is too light a thing that you should be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel. I will also give you as a light to the nations, that you may be my salvation to the end of the earth.”

Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly, and said,“ It was necessary that God’s word should be spoken to you first. Since indeed you thrust it from yourselves, and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, behold, we turn to the Gentiles.For so has the Lord commanded us, saying,‘ I have set you as a light for the Gentiles, that you should bring salvation to the uttermost parts of the earth.’”

He said,“ Into what then were you baptized?” They said,“ Into John’s baptism.”Paul said,“ John indeed baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe in the one who would come after him, that is, in Jesus.”When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

“ Be it known therefore to you, that the salvation of God is sent to the nations, and they will listen.”

For through him we both have our access in one Spirit to the Father.

Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized into the name of Paul?I thank God that I baptized none of you, except Crispus and Gaius,so that no one should say that I had baptized you into my own name.( I also baptized the household of Stephanas; besides them, I don’t know whether I baptized any other.)

All the ends of the earth shall remember and turn to Yahweh. All the relatives of the nations shall worship before you.For the kingdom is Yahweh’s. He is the ruler over the nations.

“ Come near to me and hear this:“ From the beginning I have not spoken in secret; from the time that it happened, I was there.” Now the Lord Yahweh has sent me with his Spirit.

Yahweh has made known his salvation. He has openly shown his righteousness in the sight of the nations.He has remembered his loving kindness and his faithfulness toward the house of Israel. All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

God said,“ Let’s make man in our image, after our likeness. Let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the sky, and over the livestock, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”

Yahweh has made his holy arm bare in the eyes of all the nations. All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

This is a symbol of baptism, which now saves you— not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,

When they had preached the Good News to that city, and had made many disciples, they returned to Lystra, Iconium, and Antioch,

if it is so that you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and not moved away from the hope of the Good News which you heard, which is being proclaimed in all creation under heaven, of which I, Paul, was made a servant.

John, to the seven assemblies that are in Asia: Grace to you and peace from God, who is and who was and who is to come; and from the seven Spirits who are before his throne;and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us, and washed us from our sins by his blood—and he made us to be a Kingdom, priests to his God and Father— to him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

“ For I know their works and their thoughts. The time comes that I will gather all nations and languages, and they will come, and will see my glory.“ I will set a sign among them, and I will send those who escape of them to the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, who draw the bow, to Tubal and Javan, to far- away islands, who have not heard my fame, nor have seen my glory; and they shall declare my glory among the nations.

“ Behold, my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen, in whom my soul delights: I have put my Spirit on him. He will bring justice to the nations.He will not shout, nor raise his voice, nor cause it to be heard in the street.He won’t break a bruised reed. He won’t quench a dimly burning wick. He will faithfully bring justice.He will not fail nor be discouraged, until he has set justice in the earth, and the islands wait for his law.”

‘ Yahweh bless you, and keep you.Yahweh make his face to shine on you, and be gracious to you.Yahweh lift up his face toward you, and give you peace.’“ So they shall put my name on the children of Israel; and I will bless them.”

He said to them,“ Therefore every scribe who has been made a disciple in the Kingdom of Heaven is like a man who is a householder, who brings out of his treasure new and old things.”

Or else what will they do who are baptized for the dead? If the dead aren’t raised at all, why then are they baptized for the dead?

Now there are various kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit.There are various kinds of service, and the same Lord.There are various kinds of workings, but the same God, who works all things in all.

When she and her household were baptized, she begged us, saying,“ If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come into my house and stay.” So she persuaded us.As we were going to prayer, a certain girl having a spirit of divination met us, who brought her masters much gain by fortune telling.Following Paul and us, she cried out,“ These men are servants of the Most High God, who proclaim to us a way of salvation!”She was doing this for many days. But Paul, becoming greatly annoyed, turned and said to the spirit,“ I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her!” It came out that very hour.But when her masters saw that the hope of their gain was gone, they seized Paul and Silas, and dragged them into the marketplace before the rulers.When they had brought them to the magistrates, they said,“ These men, being Jews, are agitating our cityand advocate customs which it is not lawful for us to accept or to observe, being Romans.”The multitude rose up together against them and the magistrates tore their clothes from them, then commanded them to be beaten with rods.When they had laid many stripes on them, they threw them into prison, charging the jailer to keep them safely,who, having received such a command, threw them into the inner prison, and secured their feet in the stocks.But about midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them.Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened, and everyone’s bonds were loosened.The jailer, being roused out of sleep and seeing the prison doors open, drew his sword and was about to kill himself, supposing that the prisoners had escaped.But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying,“ Don’t harm yourself, for we are all here!”He called for lights, sprang in, fell down trembling before Paul and Silas,brought them out, and said,“ Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”They said,“ Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”They spoke the word of the Lord to him, and to all who were in his house.He took them the same hour of the night and washed their stripes, and was immediately baptized, he and all his household.

Immediately something like scales fell from his eyes, and he received his sight. He arose and was baptized.
