Then Jesus said to them,“ Don’t be afraid. Go tell my brothers that they should go into Galilee, and there they will see me.”

For whom he foreknew, he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.

Jesus said to her,“ Don’t hold me, for I haven’t yet ascended to my Father; but go to my brothers and tell them,‘ I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’”

Go quickly and tell his disciples,‘ He has risen from the dead, and behold, he goes before you into Galilee; there you will see him.’ Behold, I have told you.”

But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying,“ Cheer up! It is I! Don’t be afraid.”

The angel answered the women,“ Don’t be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus, who has been crucified.

He answered them,“ Who are my mother and my brothers?”Looking around at those who sat around him, he said,“ Behold, my mother and my brothers!For whoever does the will of God is my brother, my sister, and mother.”

But he said to them,“ It is I. Don’t be afraid.”

As they said these things, Jesus himself stood among them, and said to them,“ Peace be to you.”But they were terrified and filled with fear, and supposed that they had seen a spirit.He said to them,“ Why are you troubled? Why do doubts arise in your hearts?

“ Then he will answer them, saying,‘ Most certainly I tell you, because you didn’t do it to one of the least of these, you didn’t do it to me.’

“ The King will answer them,‘ Most certainly I tell you, because you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’

For both he who sanctifies and those who are sanctified are all from one, for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brothers,saying,“ I will declare your name to my brothers. Among the congregation I will sing your praise.”Again,“ I will put my trust in him.” Again,“ Behold, here I am with the children whom God has given me.”Since then the children have shared in flesh and blood, he also himself in the same way partook of the same, that through death he might bring to nothing him who had the power of death, that is, the devil,and might deliver all of them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.For most certainly, he doesn’t give help to angels, but he gives help to the offspring of Abraham.Therefore he was obligated in all things to be made like his brothers, that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make atonement for the sins of the people.For in that he himself has suffered being tempted, he is able to help those who are tempted.

But he answered him who spoke to him,“ Who is my mother? Who are my brothers?”He stretched out his hand toward his disciples, and said,“ Behold, my mother and my brothers!For whoever does the will of my Father who is in heaven, he is my brother, and sister, and mother.”

But go, tell his disciples and Peter,‘ He goes before you into Galilee. There you will see him, as he said to you.’”

Yahweh is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness.He will not always accuse; neither will he stay angry forever.He has not dealt with us according to our sins, nor repaid us for our iniquities.For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is his loving kindness toward those who fear him.As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.Like a father has compassion on his children, so Yahweh has compassion on those who fear him.

They put away the foreign gods from among them and served Yahweh; and his soul was grieved for the misery of Israel.
