Then Jesus said to them,“ Don’t be afraid! Go tell my brothers to leave for Galilee, and they will see me there.”

Then Jesus said to them,“ Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see me.”

Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me.

Then Jesus said to them,“ Don’t be afraid. Go tell my brothers that they should go into Galilee, and there they will see me.”

For God knew his people in advance, and he chose them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.

“ Don’t cling to me,” Jesus said,“ for I haven’t yet ascended to the Father. But go find my brothers and tell them,‘ I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’”

And now, go quickly and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead, and he is going ahead of you to Galilee. You will see him there. Remember what I have told you.”

But Jesus spoke to them at once.“ Don’t be afraid,” he said.“ Take courage. I am here!”

Then the angel spoke to the women.“ Don’t be afraid!” he said.“ I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified.

Jesus replied,“ Who is my mother? Who are my brothers?”Then he looked at those around him and said,“ Look, these are my mother and brothers.Anyone who does God’s will is my brother and sister and mother.”

but he called out to them,“ Don’t be afraid. I am here!”

And just as they were telling about it, Jesus himself was suddenly standing there among them.“ Peace be with you,” he said.But the whole group was startled and frightened, thinking they were seeing a ghost!“ Why are you frightened?” he asked.“ Why are your hearts filled with doubt?

“ And he will answer,‘ I tell you the truth, when you refused to help the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were refusing to help me.’

“ And the King will say,‘ I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!’

So now Jesus and the ones he makes holy have the same Father. That is why Jesus is not ashamed to call them his brothers and sisters.For he said to God,“ I will proclaim your name to my brothers and sisters. I will praise you among your assembled people.”He also said,“ I will put my trust in him,” that is,“ I and the children God has given me.”Because God’s children are human beings— made of flesh and blood— the Son also became flesh and blood. For only as a human being could he die, and only by dying could he break the power of the devil, who had the power of death.Only in this way could he set free all who have lived their lives as slaves to the fear of dying.We also know that the Son did not come to help angels; he came to help the descendants of Abraham.Therefore, it was necessary for him to be made in every respect like us, his brothers and sisters, so that he could be our merciful and faithful High Priest before God. Then he could offer a sacrifice that would take away the sins of the people.Since he himself has gone through suffering and testing, he is able to help us when we are being tested.

Jesus asked,“ Who is my mother? Who are my brothers?”Then he pointed to his disciples and said,“ Look, these are my mother and brothers.Anyone who does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother!”

Now go and tell his disciples, including Peter, that Jesus is going ahead of you to Galilee. You will see him there, just as he told you before he died.”

The Lord is compassionate and merciful, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love.He will not constantly accuse us, nor remain angry forever.He does not punish us for all our sins; he does not deal harshly with us, as we deserve.For his unfailing love toward those who fear him is as great as the height of the heavens above the earth.He has removed our sins as far from us as the east is from the west.The Lord is like a father to his children, tender and compassionate to those who fear him.

Then the Israelites put aside their foreign gods and served the Lord. And he was grieved by their misery.
