Pilate said to them,“ You have a guard of soldiers. Go, make it as secure as you can.”

彼拉多說：「你們帶上衛兵，去那裡嚴加看守。」

彼拉多對他們說：“你們帶著衛兵，盡你們所能的去嚴密看守吧。”

彼拉多對他們說：『領一排守衛隊去吧；儘你們所能的把守妥當。』

彼拉多對他們說：「你們有一隊衛兵，盡你們所能，嚴密看守吧！」

彼拉多曰、爾有守兵、往盡乃心、固守之、

彼拉多曰、予爾守兵、往盡乃心、固守之、

彼拉多謂之曰、予爾守兵、或作爾有守兵可往、隨爾意固守之、

比辣多曰：『爾曹自有守卒、好自為之。』

“ Take a guard,” Pilate answered.“ Go, make the tomb as secure as you know how.”

“ Take some guards with you,” Pilate answered.“ Go. Make the tomb as secure as you can.”

Pilate replied,“ Take guards and secure it the best you can.”

“ Take guards,” Pilate told them.“ Go and make it as secure as you know how.”

Pilate said to them,“ You have a guard; go, make it as secure as you know how.”

Pilate said to them,“ You have a guard; go your way, make it as secure as you know how.”

Pilate said unto them, Ye have a guard: go, make it as sure as ye can.

“ You have a guard of soldiers,” Pilate told them.“ Go and make it as secure as you know how.”

Pilate said unto them, Ye have a watch: go your way, make[ it] as sure as ye can.

Pilate said to them,“ Take a guard of soldiers. Go and make it as secure as you can.”

So they went and made the tomb secure by sealing the stone and setting a guard.

While they were going, behold, some of the guard went into the city and told the chief priests all that had taken place.And when they had assembled with the elders and taken counsel, they gave a sufficient sum of money to the soldiersand said,“ Tell people,‘ His disciples came by night and stole him away while we were asleep.’And if this comes to the governor’s ears, we will satisfy him and keep you out of trouble.”So they took the money and did as they were directed. And this story has been spread among the Jews to this day.

No wisdom, no understanding, no counsel can avail against the Lord.

Surely the wrath of man shall praise you; the remnant of wrath you will put on like a belt.
