在一週頭一天的清晨，天還黑的時候，茉大拉的瑪麗亞就來到墓穴那裡，看見那石頭已經從墓穴被挪開了。

茉大拉的瑪麗亞和另一個瑪麗亞在那裡，對著墳墓坐著。

告訴使徒們這些事的，是茉大拉的瑪麗亞、約亞娜、雅各的母親瑪麗亞，還有其餘和她們在一起的婦女。

茉大拉的瑪麗亞就去告訴門徒們：「我看到主了！」她又把耶穌對她說的這些話告訴他們。

這不就是那木匠的兒子嗎？他的母親不是叫瑪麗亞嗎？他的弟弟們不是雅各、約西、西門和猶大嗎？

那時，西庇太兒子的母親帶著她的兩個兒子上前來拜耶穌，向他求一件事。耶穌問她：「你要什麼呢？」她說：「請准許我這兩個兒子，在你的國裡，一個坐在你的右邊，一個坐在你的左邊。」

還有一些婦女從遠處觀看，其中有茉大拉的瑪麗亞、小雅各和約西的母親瑪麗亞，以及莎羅美。她們就是耶穌在加利利的時候，跟隨他並服事他的人；還有許多別的跟耶穌一同上耶路撒冷的婦女。
