安息日刚过，周日黎明时分，抹大拉的玛丽亚和另一位玛丽亚一同到坟墓去察看。

周日清晨，天还未亮，抹大拉的玛丽亚就来到坟墓前，发现封住墓口的石头已经挪开了。

那时，抹大拉的玛丽亚和另一个玛丽亚坐在坟墓的对面。

这些妇女就是抹大拉的玛丽亚、约亚娜、雅各的母亲玛丽亚及其他人。

抹大拉的玛丽亚就去向门徒报讯，说：“我看见主了！”又把主对她说的话告诉门徒。

这不是那木匠的儿子吗？祂母亲不是玛丽亚吗？祂的弟弟不是雅各、约瑟、西门和犹大吗？

当时，西庇太的妻子带着两个儿子上前，跪在耶稣面前，有事要求祂。耶稣问她：“你要什么呢？”她说：“在你的国度，请让我这两个儿子一个坐在你右边，一个坐在你左边。”

有些妇女在远处观看，其中有抹大拉的玛丽亚、小雅各和约西的母亲玛丽亚并撒罗米。耶稣在加利利时，她们已经跟随祂、服侍祂了。此外还有好些跟着祂上耶路撒冷的妇女。
