又坐在那里看守他。

对面站着的百夫长看见耶稣这样断气，就说：“这人真是神的儿子！”

他倚靠神，神若愿意，现在就来救他，因为他曾说‘我是神的儿子’。”

百夫长看见所发生的事，就归荣耀给神，说：“这人真是个义人！”聚集观看这事的众人，见了所发生的事，都捶着胸回去了。所有与耶稣熟悉的人，和从加利利跟着他来的妇女们，都远远地站着，看这些事。

千夫长立刻带着士兵和几个百夫长，跑下去到他们那里。他们见了千夫长和士兵，就停下来不打保罗。

但百夫长要救保罗，不准他们任意而行，就吩咐会游水的，跳下水去，先上岸；

耶稣进了迦百农，有一个百夫长进前来，求他，

于是，千夫长叫了两个百夫长来，说：“预备步兵二百、骑兵七十、长枪手二百，今夜九点往凯撒利亚去；

既然非斯都决定要我们坐船往意大利去，就将保罗和别的囚犯交给御营里的一个名叫犹流的百夫长。

那试探者进前来对他说：“你若是神的儿子，叫这些石头变成食物吧。”

保罗请一个百夫长来，说：“你领这青年去见千夫长，他有事告诉他。”

说：“你这拆毁殿、三日又建造起来的，救救你自己吧！如果你是神的儿子，就从十字架上下来呀！”

耶稣却不言语。大祭司对他说：“我指着永生神命令你起誓告诉我们，你是不是基督—神的儿子？”

王第三次又派一个五十夫长，带领五十人去。第三个五十夫长上去，双膝跪在以利亚面前，哀求他说：“神人哪，愿我的性命和你这五十个仆人的性命在你眼中看为宝贵！看哪，已经有火从天上降下来，吞灭前两次来的五十夫长和他们的五十个人，现在愿我的性命在你眼中看为宝贵！”

在凯撒利亚有一个人名叫哥尼流，是意大利营的百夫长。

他们都说：“那么，你是神的儿子了？”耶稣对他们说：“你们说我是。”

众人听见这话，觉得扎心，就对彼得和其余的使徒说：“诸位弟兄，我们该怎样做呢？”

正在那时候，地大震动，城倒塌了十分之一；因地震而死的有七千人，其余的都恐惧，归荣耀给天上的神。

狱警叫人拿灯来，就冲进去，战战兢兢地俯伏在保罗和西拉面前。然后狱警领他们出来，说：“二位先生，我必须做什么才可以得救？”

犹太人回答他：“我们有律法，按照律法，他是该死的，因为他自以为是神的儿子。”
