又坐在那裏看守他。

對面站着的百夫長看見耶穌這樣喊叫斷氣，就說：「這人真是神的兒子！」

他倚靠神，神若喜悅他，現在可以救他；因為他曾說：『我是神的兒子。』」

百夫長看見所成的事，就歸榮耀與神，說：「這真是個義人！」聚集觀看的眾人見了這所成的事都捶着胸回去了。還有一切與耶穌熟識的人，和從加利利跟着他來的婦女們，都遠遠地站着看這些事。

千夫長立時帶着兵丁和幾個百夫長，跑下去到他們那裏。他們見了千夫長和兵丁，就止住不打保羅。

但百夫長要救保羅，不准他們任意而行，就吩咐會洑水的，跳下水去先上岸；

耶穌進了迦百農，有一個百夫長進前來，求他說：

千夫長便叫了兩個百夫長來，說：「預備步兵二百，馬兵七十，長槍手二百，今夜亥初往凱撒利亞去；

非斯都既然定規了，叫我們坐船往意大利去，便將保羅和別的囚犯交給御營裏的一個百夫長，名叫猶流。

那試探人的進前來，對他說：「你若是神的兒子，可以吩咐這些石頭變成食物。」

保羅請一個百夫長來，說：「你領這少年人去見千夫長，他有事告訴他。」

「你這拆毀聖殿、三日又建造起來的，可以救自己吧！你如果是神的兒子，就從十字架上下來吧！」

耶穌卻不言語。大祭司對他說：「我指着永生神叫你起誓告訴我們，你是神的兒子基督不是？」

王第三次差遣一個五十夫長，帶領五十人去。這五十夫長上去，雙膝跪在以利亞面前，哀求他說：「神人哪，願我的性命和你這五十個僕人的性命在你眼前看為寶貴！已經有火從天上降下來，燒滅前兩次來的五十夫長和他們各自帶的五十人；現在願我的性命在你眼前看為寶貴！」

在凱撒利亞有一個人，名叫哥尼流，是「意大利營」的百夫長。

他們都說：「這樣，你是神的兒子嗎？」耶穌說：「你們所說的是。」

眾人聽見這話，覺得扎心，就對彼得和其餘的使徒說：「弟兄們，我們當怎樣行？」

正在那時候，地大震動，城就倒塌了十分之一，因地震而死的有七千人；其餘的都恐懼，歸榮耀給天上的神。

禁卒叫人拿燈來，就跳進去，戰戰兢兢地俯伏在保羅、西拉面前；又領他們出來，說：「二位先生，我當怎樣行才可以得救？」

猶太人回答說：「我們有律法，按那律法，他是該死的，因他以自己為神的兒子。」

按聖善的靈說，因從死裏復活，以大能顯明是神的兒子。
