又坐在那里看守他。

对面站着的百夫长看见耶稣这样喊叫断气，就说：“这人真是神的儿子！”

他倚靠神，神若喜悦他，现在可以救他；因为他曾说：‘我是神的儿子。’”

百夫长看见所成的事，就归荣耀与神，说：“这真是个义人！”聚集观看的众人见了这所成的事都捶着胸回去了。还有一切与耶稣熟识的人，和从加利利跟着他来的妇女们，都远远地站着看这些事。

千夫长立时带着兵丁和几个百夫长，跑下去到他们那里。他们见了千夫长和兵丁，就止住不打保罗。

但百夫长要救保罗，不准他们任意而行，就吩咐会洑水的，跳下水去先上岸；

耶稣进了迦百农，有一个百夫长进前来，求他说：

千夫长便叫了两个百夫长来，说：“预备步兵二百，马兵七十，长枪手二百，今夜亥初往凯撒利亚去；

非斯都既然定规了，叫我们坐船往意大利去，便将保罗和别的囚犯交给御营里的一个百夫长，名叫犹流。

那试探人的进前来，对他说：“你若是神的儿子，可以吩咐这些石头变成食物。”

保罗请一个百夫长来，说：“你领这少年人去见千夫长，他有事告诉他。”

“你这拆毁圣殿、三日又建造起来的，可以救自己吧！你如果是神的儿子，就从十字架上下来吧！”

耶稣却不言语。大祭司对他说：“我指着永生神叫你起誓告诉我们，你是神的儿子基督不是？”

王第三次差遣一个五十夫长，带领五十人去。这五十夫长上去，双膝跪在以利亚面前，哀求他说：“神人哪，愿我的性命和你这五十个仆人的性命在你眼前看为宝贵！已经有火从天上降下来，烧灭前两次来的五十夫长和他们各自带的五十人；现在愿我的性命在你眼前看为宝贵！”

在凯撒利亚有一个人，名叫哥尼流，是“意大利营”的百夫长。

他们都说：“这样，你是神的儿子吗？”耶稣说：“你们所说的是。”

众人听见这话，觉得扎心，就对彼得和其余的使徒说：“弟兄们，我们当怎样行？”

正在那时候，地大震动，城就倒塌了十分之一，因地震而死的有七千人；其余的都恐惧，归荣耀给天上的神。

禁卒叫人拿灯来，就跳进去，战战兢兢地俯伏在保罗、西拉面前；又领他们出来，说：“二位先生，我当怎样行才可以得救？”

犹太人回答说：“我们有律法，按那律法，他是该死的，因他以自己为神的儿子。”

按圣善的灵说，因从死里复活，以大能显明是神的儿子。
