兄弟乎、吾人茲得藉耶穌之寶血、遵其為吾人開闢之路、而自由進入閟幄矣。此新路也、亦生路也。其所通過之帷幕、則基督之肉身也。今吾人在天主宅中、既有偌大之司祭矣；吾人之心、既已灑脫罪累矣；吾人之身、既已洗濯於潔水之中矣；則吾人尚可不以一片赤誠、沛然不疑、而親近天主乎？

其時殿中帳幔、自上至下、中裂為二。

此恩諾實為吾人停泊之所、前途遠大、希望無窮、穩而且固。此望也、乃吾人靈魂之鐵錨、而糺於閟帷深處者也。

巴總及同守耶穌者、見地震及所歷諸事、皆惴焉而懼曰：『斯真天主子也。』

地忽大震、上主天神自天而降、入陵園、移鉅石、開墓門、而坐其上、

徧地昏黑、殿幕中裂為二、

當時、天主聖殿、洞開於天；結約之櫃、見於殿中；雷霆霹靂、眾聲並作、大地震顫、天降大雹。

當時地大震、全邑十分之一成墟、死者七千人、餘皆惴惴焉歸榮於上天主宰。

身陷艱險兮求主。竭聲向主兮呼籲。主聞吾音兮宮中。哀聲上達兮宸聰。

內帷後更有一幕曰閟帷、

爾其慎旃、切勿輕忽其所發之言也。夫古人之不聽從地上施教之人者、尚不能免責矧於自天所訓而不聽從者、其能僥倖於萬一乎？當時厥音曾震動天地、而今吾人則有恩諾曰：『吾當更有一度、不僅動地、亦將驚天。』其言「更有一度、」何謂也？乃云凡屬可動搖者、將盡去之；而不可動搖者、將永存之耳。

今則不然、爾托耶穌基督之恩、藉其聖血、已得化疏為親矣。蓋基督者、吾人之協和也；身受苦難、以去壁壘之隔、除法令之障。於彼之身、本族外族融成一體、以作新人、以建和平。更以此融成一體之二族、與天主協和於十字架上。十字架者、所以消滅一切敵對之意也。夫基督之來、為傳佈和平之福音。當時爾等在遐、我等在邇、其得親聆斯音則一也。總之、吾人以基督為介、彼此融洽於同一聖神之中、而得親近聖父矣。
