並且要把他交給外邦人去戲弄、鞭打、釘上十字架；然後在第三天，他要復活。」

他被藐視、遭人厭棄，是個受痛苦、知憂患的人；他像一個被人掩面不看的人，他被藐視，連我們也不尊重他。

然後開始向他致敬說：「萬歲，猶太人的王！」

士兵們用荊棘編了冠冕，戴在耶穌的頭上，又給他披上紫色袍子。他們不斷地來到他面前說：「萬歲，猶太人的王！」又不住地用手掌打他。

我所受的辱罵、恥辱和羞愧，你都知道；我所有的敵人，都在你面前。辱罵使我心靈破碎，我就絕望。我等候有人同情，卻得不到；我等候有人安慰，卻找不到。

猶大立刻上前來對耶穌說：「拉比，願你歡喜！」然後親吻了他。

仰望信仰的創始者和成終者耶穌。他為了那擺在他前面的喜樂，就輕看羞辱，忍受了十字架，如今坐在神寶座的右邊。其實，你們應當仔細地思想耶穌如何忍受了罪人的頂撞，這樣你們心裡就不會因喪氣而疲倦。

又在他的頭上方，安了他的罪狀牌，上面寫道：「這是耶穌，猶太人的王。」

士兵們也上前來戲弄他，給他獻上酸酒，說：「你如果是猶太人的王，救救你自己吧！」

以色列的救贖主，以色列的聖者耶和華，對那被人藐視、被本國憎惡、被管轄者奴役的，如此說：「君王們看見了就起立，首領們看見了就下拜；這都是因著耶和華——他是信實的，是以色列的聖者，是揀選你的那一位。」

因為我為你的緣故承擔辱罵，羞愧遮蓋了我的臉。

但我跌倒的時候，他們卻歡喜聚集；我不認識的卑賤人聚集攻擊我，不停地撕扯我；他們像宴席上狂妄的譏笑者，向我咬牙切齒。
