就向他祝賀說：“猶太人的王萬歲！”

士兵用荊棘編成冠冕，戴在他的頭上，又給他披上紫色的外袍，然後來到他面前，說：“猶太人的王萬歲！”並且用手掌打他。

我所受的辱罵、欺凌和侮辱，你都知道，我所有的敵人都在你面前。辱罵傷了我的心，我憂愁難過；我希望有人同情，卻一個也沒有；我希望有人安慰，還是找不到一個。

他立刻前來對耶穌說：“拉比，你好。”跟著就與他親吻。

專一注視耶穌，就是那位信心的創造者和完成者。他因為那擺在面前的喜樂，就忍受了十字架，輕看了羞辱，現在就坐在神寶座的右邊。這位忍受罪人那樣頂撞的耶穌，你們要仔細思想，免得疲倦灰心。

耶和華啊！你愚弄了我，我受了愚弄；你比我強大，你勝了我。我整天成了別人譏笑的對象，人人都嘲弄我。

他們在耶穌的頭以上，釘了一塊牌子，寫著他的罪狀：“這是猶太人的王耶穌”。

士兵也上前戲弄他，拿酸酒給他喝，說：“如果你是猶太人的王，救你自己吧！”

以色列的救贖主，以色列的聖者耶和華，對那被人藐視的、被本國憎惡的、被統治者奴役的，這樣說：“君王看見了，就必起立，領袖看見了，也要下拜，都因信實的耶和華，就是揀選了你的、以色列的聖者的緣故。”

然而，為了你的緣故，我忍受辱罵，滿面羞愧。

但我跌倒的時候，他們竟聚集一起歡慶；我素不相識的聚集一起攻擊我，他們不住地欺凌我。他們以最粗鄙的話譏笑我（按照《馬索拉文本》，本句應作“他們好像筵席上狂妄的譏笑者”；現參照《七十士譯本》翻譯），向我咬牙切齒。
