Then the governor’s soldiers took Jesus into the Praetorium and gathered the whole company of soldiers around him.

Falling on their knees, they paid homage to him.And when they had mocked him, they took off the purple robe and put his own clothes on him. Then they led him out to crucify him. (niv)

When it was decided that we would sail for Italy, Paul and some other prisoners were handed over to a centurion named Julius, who belonged to the Imperial Regiment. (niv)

So Judas came to the garden, guiding a detachment of soldiers and some officials from the chief priests and the Pharisees. They were carrying torches, lanterns and weapons. (niv)

When Pilate heard this, he was even more afraid,and he went back inside the palace.“ Where do you come from?” he asked Jesus, but Jesus gave him no answer. (niv)
