Then Peter remembered the word Jesus had spoken:“ Before the rooster crows, you will disown me three times.” And he went outside and wept bitterly.

Suddenly, Jesus’ words flashed through Peter’s mind:“ Before the rooster crows, you will deny three times that you even know me.” And he went away, weeping bitterly.

耶穌對他說：“我實在告訴你，今天晚上雞叫以前，你會三次不認我。”

我知道在我裡面，就是在我肉體之中，沒有良善，因為立志行善由得我，行出來卻由不得我。所以我願意行的善，我沒有去行；我不願意作的惡，我倒去作了。我若作自己不願意作的事，那就不是我作的，而是住在我裡面的罪作的。

“西門，西門，撒但設法要得著你們，好篩你們像篩麥子一樣；但我已經為你祈求，叫你的信心不至失掉。你回頭的時候，要堅固你的弟兄。”彼得說：“主啊！我已經準備好要跟你一同下監，一同死。”耶穌說：“彼得，我告訴你，今天雞叫以前，你會三次說不認得我。”

耶穌說：“你願意為我捨命嗎？我實實在在告訴你，雞叫之前，你必定三次不認我。”

弟兄們，如果有人陷在一些過犯裡，你們屬靈的人，要用溫柔的心使他回轉過來，自己卻要小心，免得也被引誘。

主轉過身來看彼得，彼得就想起主對他說過的話：“今天雞叫以前，你要三次說不認得我。”他就出去痛哭。

使你與人不同的是誰呢？你有甚麼不是領受的呢？既然是領受的，為甚麼要自誇，好像不是領受的呢？

就是你們這因信蒙神能力保守的人，得著預備在末世要顯現的救恩。

那時，出賣耶穌的猶大見耶穌定了罪，就後悔了。他把那三十塊銀子還給祭司長和長老，說：“我有罪了！我出賣了無辜的人﹙“人”原文作“血”。﹚！”他們說：“這是你的事，跟我們有甚麼關係？”猶大把銀子丟進聖所，然後離開，出去吊死了。
