Then Peter remembered the word Jesus had spoken:“ Before the rooster crows, you will disown me three times.” And he went outside and wept bitterly.

耶稣对他说：“我实在告诉你，今天晚上鸡叫以前，你会三次不认我。”

我知道在我里面，就是在我肉体之中，没有良善，因为立志行善由得我，行出来却由不得我。所以我愿意行的善，我没有去行；我不愿意作的恶，我倒去作了。我若作自己不愿意作的事，那就不是我作的，而是住在我里面的罪作的。

“西门，西门，撒但设法要得着你们，好筛你们像筛麦子一样；但我已经为你祈求，叫你的信心不至失掉。你回头的时候，要坚固你的弟兄。”彼得说：“主啊！我已经准备好要跟你一同下监，一同死。”耶稣说：“彼得，我告诉你，今天鸡叫以前，你会三次说不认得我。”

耶稣说：“你愿意为我舍命吗？我实实在在告诉你，鸡叫之前，你必定三次不认我。”

弟兄们，如果有人陷在一些过犯里，你们属灵的人，要用温柔的心使他回转过来，自己却要小心，免得也被引诱。

主转过身来看彼得，彼得就想起主对他说过的话：“今天鸡叫以前，你要三次说不认得我。”他就出去痛哭。

使你与人不同的是谁呢？你有什么不是领受的呢？既然是领受的，为什么要自夸，好像不是领受的呢？

就是你们这因信蒙神能力保守的人，得着预备在末世要显现的救恩。

那时，出卖耶稣的犹大见耶稣定了罪，就后悔了。他把那三十块银子还给祭司长和长老，说：“我有罪了！我出卖了无辜的人﹙“人”原文作“血”。﹚！”他们说：“这是你的事，跟我们有什么关系？”犹大把银子丢进圣所，然后离开，出去吊死了。
