But he denied it before them all.“ I don’t know what you’re talking about,” he said.

He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool; But whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered.

But all this is come to pass, that the scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled. Then all the disciples left him, and fled.

And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them sleeping, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour?Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.Again a second time he went away, and prayed, saying, My Father, if this cannot pass away, except I drink it, thy will be done.And he came again and found them sleeping, for their eyes were heavy.

A man’s pride shall bring him low; But he that is of a lowly spirit shall obtain honor.

And behold, one of them that were with Jesus stretched out his hand, and drew his sword, and smote the servant of the high priest, and struck off his ear.

But Peter followed him afar off, unto the court of the high priest, and entered in, and sat with the officers, to see the end.

The fear of man bringeth a snare; But whoso putteth his trust in Jehovah shall be safe.

The heart is deceitful above all things, and it is exceedingly corrupt: who can know it?
