saying, Prophesy unto us, thou Christ: who is he that struck thee?

and said,“ Prophesy to us, Messiah! Who hit You?”

Saying, Prophesy unto us, thou Christ, Who is he that smote thee?

saying,“ Prophesy for us, you Christ! Who hit you?”

saying,“ Prophesy to us, you Christ! Who hit you?”

The men who were holding Jesus started mocking and beating him.After blindfolding him, they kept asking,“ Prophesy! Who was it that hit you?”And they were saying many other blasphemous things to him.

Then some began to spit on him, to blindfold him, and to beat him, saying,“ Prophesy!” The temple servants also took him and slapped him.

And they began to salute him,“ Hail, king of the Jews!”They were hitting him on the head with a stick and spitting on him. Getting down on their knees, they were paying him homage.

When they were in good spirits, they said,“ Bring Samson here to entertain us.” So they brought Samson from prison, and he entertained them. They had him stand between the pillars.

It was the preparation day for the Passover, and it was about noon. Then he told the Jews,“ Here is your king!”They shouted,“ Take him away! Take him away! Crucify him!” Pilate said to them,“ Should I crucify your king?”“ We have no king but Caesar!” the chief priests answered.

They said to one another,“ Oh, look, here comes that dream expert!So now, come on, let’s kill him and throw him into one of the pits. We can say that a vicious animal ate him. Then we’ll see what becomes of his dreams!”

Those who passed by were yelling insults at him, shaking their headsand saying,“ You who would destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days, save yourself! If you are the Son of God, come down from the cross!”In the same way the chief priests, with the scribes and elders, mocked him and said,“ He saved others, but he cannot save himself! He is the King of Israel! Let him come down now from the cross, and we will believe in him.He trusts in God; let God rescue him now— if he takes pleasure in him! For he said,‘ I am the Son of God.’”In the same way even the criminals who were crucified with him taunted him.

As you come to him, a living stone— rejected by people but chosen and honored by God—you yourselves, as living stones, a spiritual house, are being built to be a holy priesthood to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.For it stands in Scripture: See, I lay a stone in Zion, a chosen and honored cornerstone, and the one who believes in him will never be put to shame.So honor will come to you who believe; but for the unbelieving, The stone that the builders rejected— this one has become the cornerstone,and A stone to stumble over, and a rock to trip over. They stumble because they disobey the word; they were destined for this.

The soldiers also twisted together a crown of thorns, put it on his head, and clothed him in a purple robe.And they kept coming up to him and saying,“ Hail, king of the Jews!” and were slapping his face.
