巴拿巴和保羅二位使徒聽見，就撕開衣裳，跳進眾人中間，喊着：

大祭司就撕裂衣服，說：「我們何必再要證人呢？你們已經聽見他這褻瀆的話了。你們的決定如何？」他們都判定他該處死。
