sound speech that cannot be condemned, that one who is an opponent may be ashamed, having nothing evil to say of you.

having a good conscience, that when they defame you as evildoers, those who revile your good conduct in Christ may be ashamed.

So the governors and satraps sought to find some charge against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find no charge or fault, because he was faithful; nor was there any error or fault found in him.Then these men said,“ We shall not find any charge against this Daniel unless we find it against him concerning the law of his God.”

Then some rose up and bore false witness against Him, saying,“ We heard Him say,‘ I will destroy this temple made with hands, and within three days I will build another made without hands.’”But not even then did their testimony agree.
