Malicious witnesses rise up; They ask me things that I do not know.

sound in speech which is beyond reproach, so that the opponent will be put to shame, having nothing bad to say about us.

and keep a good conscience so that in the thing in which you are slandered, those who disparage your good behavior in Christ will be put to shame.

Then the commissioners and satraps began trying to find a ground of accusation against Daniel regarding government affairs; but they could find no ground of accusation or evidence of corruption, because he was trustworthy, and no negligence or corruption was to be found in him.Then these men said,“ We will not find any ground of accusation against this Daniel unless we find it against him regarding the law of his God.”

And then some stood up and began giving false testimony against Him, saying,“ We heard Him say,‘ I will destroy this temple that was made by hands, and in three days I will build another, made without hands.’ ”And not even in this respect was their testimony consistent.
