旁边站着的人，有一个拔出刀来，把大祭司的仆人砍了一刀，削掉了他一只耳朵。

因为我们争战的兵器本不是属血气的，而是凭着上帝的能力，能够攻破坚固的营垒。我们攻破各样的计谋，

耶稣回答：“我的国不属于这世界；我的国若属于这世界，我的部下就会为我战斗，使我不至于被交给犹太人。只是我的国不属于这世界。”

耶稣转身责备两个门徒。

彼得说：“我就是必须和你同死，也绝不会不认你。”所有的门徒都是这样说。

左右的人见了要发生的事，就说：“主啊，我们拿刀砍好不好？”其中有一个人把大祭司的仆人砍了一刀，削掉了他的右耳。耶稣回答说：“算了，住手吧！”就摸那人的耳朵，把他治好了。

西门‧彼得带着一把刀，就拔出来，把大祭司的仆人砍了一刀，削掉了他的右耳，那仆人名叫马勒古。于是耶稣对彼得说：“收刀入鞘吧！我父给我的杯，我岂可不喝呢？”

耶稣对他们说：“但如今，有钱囊的要带着，有行囊的也一样；没有刀的要卖衣服买刀。我告诉你们，经上写着说：‘他被列在罪犯之中。’这话必须应验在我身上，因为那关于我的事必然成就。”他们说：“主啊，请看！这里有两把刀。”耶稣对他们说：“够了。”
