站在旁边的人中有一个拔出刀来，砍了大祭司的仆人一刀，削掉了他的一只耳朵。

因为我们作战所用的兵器，不是属于这世界的，而是在神面前有能力的，可以攻陷坚固的堡垒，

耶稣回答：“我的国不属于这世界；如果我的国属于这世界，我的臣仆就要作战，使我不至被交给犹太人。不过，我的国不是这世上的。”

耶稣就转过身来，责备他们，

彼得对他说：“就算必须与你一同死，我也决不会不认你。”门徒也都这样说。

左右的人见了，就说：“主啊，我们用刀砍好吗？”他们中间有一个人砍了大祭司的仆人一刀，削掉他的右耳。耶稣说：“由他们吧！”就摸那人的耳朵，医好了他。

西门．彼得带着一把刀，就拔出来，向大祭司的仆人马勒古砍去，削掉他的右耳。耶稣对彼得说：“把刀收入鞘里去！父给我的杯，我怎能不喝呢？”

耶稣说：“但现在，有钱囊的应当带着，有口袋的也是这样；没有刀的，要卖掉衣服去买刀。我告诉你们，‘他被列在不法者之中’这句经文，必定应验在我身上，因为关于我的事必然成就。”他们说：“主啊，请看，这里有两把刀。”耶稣说：“够了。”
