For desire is present with me, but I don’t find it doing that which is good.For the good which I desire, I don’t do; but the evil which I don’t desire, that I practice.But if what I don’t desire, that I do, it is no more I that do it, but sin which dwells in me.I find then the law that, to me, while I desire to do good, evil is present.For I delight in God’s law after the inward man,but I see a different law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity under the law of sin which is in my members.What a wretched man I am! Who will deliver me out of the body of this death?I thank God through Jesus Christ, our Lord! So then with the mind, I myself serve God’s law, but with the flesh, sin’s law.

Watch therefore, for you don’t know the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.

the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptation and to keep the unrighteous under punishment for the day of judgment,

Yes, in the way of your judgments, Yahweh, we have waited for you. Your name and your renown are the desire of our soul.With my soul I have desired you in the night. Yes, with my spirit within me I will seek you earnestly; for when your judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness.

but I beat my body and bring it into submission, lest by any means, after I have preached to others, I myself should be rejected.

I run in the path of your commandments, for you have set my heart free.

Those on the rock are they who, when they hear, receive the word with joy; but these have no root, who believe for a while, then fall away in time of temptation.

Don’t enter into the path of the wicked. Don’t walk in the way of evil men.Avoid it, and don’t pass by it. Turn from it, and pass on.

Those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts.

Forgive us our sins, for we ourselves also forgive everyone who is indebted to us. Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.’”

You have commanded your precepts, that we should fully obey them.Oh that my ways were steadfast to obey your statutes!
