For I know that good does not dwell in me, that is, in my flesh; for the willing is present in me, but the doing of the good is not.For the good that I want, I do not do, but I practice the very evil that I do not want.But if I do the very thing I do not want, I am no longer the one doing it, but sin that dwells in me.I find then the principle that evil is present in me, the one who wants to do good.For I joyfully agree with the law of God in the inner person,but I see a different law in the parts of my body waging war against the law of my mind, and making me a prisoner of the law of sin, the law which is in my body’s parts.Wretched man that I am! Who will set me free from the body of this death?Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, on the one hand I myself with my mind am serving the law of God, but on the other, with my flesh the law of sin.

Be on the alert then, because you do not know the day nor the hour.

then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from a trial, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment for the day of judgment,

“ Therefore be on the alert, for you do not know which day your Lord is coming.

Because you have kept My word of perseverance, I also will keep you from the hour of the testing, that hour which is about to come upon the whole world, to test those who live on the earth.

Then He* said to them,“ My soul is deeply grieved, to the point of death; remain here and keep watch with Me.”

The end of all things is near; therefore, be of sound judgment and sober spirit for the purpose of prayer.

Indeed, while following the way of Your judgments, Lord, We have waited for You eagerly; Your name, and remembering You, is the desire of our souls.At night my soul longs for You, Indeed, my spirit within me seeks You diligently; For when the earth experiences Your judgments, The inhabitants of the world learn righteousness.

but I strictly discipline my body and make it my slave, so that, after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified.

I shall run the way of Your commandments, For You will enlarge my heart. He

Those on the rocky soil are the ones who, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and yet these do not have a firm root; they believe for a while, and in a time of temptation they fall away.

Do not enter the path of the wicked And do not proceed in the way of evil people.Avoid it, do not pass by it; Turn away from it and pass on.

Now those who belong to Christ Jesus crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

And forgive us our sins, For we ourselves also forgive everyone who is indebted to us. And do not lead us into temptation.’ ”

You have ordained Your precepts, That we are to keep them diligently.Oh that my ways may be established To keep Your statutes!
